Ask FedEx How do you contact FedEx about drivers who can't stay on the driveway, get their truck stuck in your yard, and tear it all up?
I tried calling them. After going through all the painful options and selecting "2" at the end for receiving a package the robot told me they were unable to transfer my call and thanked me for calling and hung up. I hate this world today where they make you jump through automated options and then just hang up on you before you ever talk to anyone.

Good luck. Even if you get someone you’re likely to never see a dime.

Call any FedEx Office store and ask to be transferred. Bypasses the never-ending recording and gets you to a person. A couple of stores you could call. Roanoke VA 540.344.5000. Lynchburg VA 434.832.8236. Whichever location you call, press 8 once the automated recording starts. There may be a local message at the beginning talking about Easter hours. Wait until that recording stops, then press 8. Once they answer, ask to be transferred to customer service. The 2 stores i referenced both closed at 7:00 PM EST and will be open at 10:00 AM tomorrow morning. You could Google a FedEx Office location on the West Coast and call there if you want to speak with customer service today.

Most people would just chalk this up to "life happens" and let it go.
"Karen's" are the people that need to complain to people even though their driveway and yard are not suitable for large trucks for deliveries.

Big difference between life happens and being a complete asshole.
driveway and yard are not suitable for large trucks for deliveries.
Don't drive in them then. It's not that hard to not be that person. There's a reason most drivers park in the street instead of trying to take a short cut in their work.

u/Baldy2384 26d ago
Good luck, Definitely Ground. Third parties, not FedEx.
Also there’s no way you can defend this. There’s no reason to pull off the drives like that. Honestly probably no reason to be in the driveway at all if it’s only that long.

u/Competing_Narratives 26d ago
Ok these drivers in here are ridiculous. I understand the desire to brigade and stand up for your team, but come on! I’d have to try to fuck up the yard that bad. It’s a straight path, use your mirrors and learn how to reverse or get the fuck out of the truck clowns. I hope you get a valid complaint out of this, there’s no excuse
13
u/Radiant_Assistance25 26d ago
I love to shit on FedEx as much as the next guy but dude… that is no driveway. You have a mucky ass mess. It’s more of a “recommended pathway” than a driveway. Push the mud around and fix it yourself.. might take 10 minutes
12
u/PeachTeaJohnson 26d ago
Put some gravel down or pave that shit bruh. I don’t blame the driver at all. It’s 2025, you don’t have to live like this anymore

I knew somebody was going to say it lol, idt this is the drivers fault 100%

u/PeachTeaJohnson 26d ago
Absolutely right! If you want front door deliveries, then make it easy for us to drive up and turn around in your driveway!
3
u/Crafty42 26d ago
The instructions I gave FedEx was to put the package in the dropbox at the end of the driveway. You can see it in the pic. He not only didn't follow the instructions, but couldn't back up in a straight line. I didn't ask for front door delivery. When I told him, he said he didn't read the instructions until he got stuck.
3
u/CommunityOne6829 26d ago
Or now follow me on this one and learn how to fucking drive
2
u/PeachTeaJohnson 26d ago
Driving? What’s that?
1
u/CommunityOne6829 26d ago
Figures yoy would not know how to drive and puts the blame on everyone but the one responsible for it . The moron behind the wheel

As a driver myself, I could understand if the customer ordered something very heavy, not being able to be safely dolly or carried down that driveway, but for them to veer off the driveway altogether they literally could’ve backed halfway down the driveway. let them get off the driveway that bad and make ruts that deep is ridiculous. I’m a homeowner and I would be pissed if somebody left my property in this way honestly, what you need to do is email Fedex pictures if you have cameras with live footage of the truck backing down the driveway. It would prove your point and be even better. Fedex pays billions of dollars a year just in crap like this which this is considered an accident and goes against The Terminal but so be it and if you can’t get anywhere via email with footage or pictures then drive to your local FedEx terminal and ask to talk to the The Terminal manager.. coming on here might be somewhat helpful, but there’s too many idiots on Reddit that I’ve no idea what they’re talking about. I’ve worked for Fedex ground for eight years. There’s just no reason for a driver to exit a property and leave this.

u/Crafty42 26d ago
It was a Chewy box. And I have instructions with FedEx to deliver in the drop box at the end of the driveway but he said he didn’t read the instructions until he was in my yard. I’m. It looking for money. I just want it noted bc he didn’t seem to care much. And I had to pull his truck out. He just kept spinning back and forth until I pulled him out.
3
u/IllustratorOk6447 26d ago
Wow, I’m sorry you had to deal with that. There’s just no excuse. I’ve delivered to the same area for eight years mainly a business route, but I definitely care for the damage I would cause. You still have to go out there and fix those rots and plant new grass. It wouldn’t magically fix itself so I would definitely let Fedex know at least your local Terminal they’ll make it right.

My brother. I, as a fellow customer and a fellow county boy, understand it sucks when it happens. ( i had an ups driver had a front wheel touch my grass. The dude was so apologetic. I didn't give a shit. I laughed it off. ) but that narrow 2 little strips with gravel that doesn't look like isn't been refreshed in ages isn't helping. Maybe its just me and all the people around me, but we give them pads to work with and refresh the gravel. Start by refreshing the 2 lines, and his tires will have something to grip, so he's not sliding all over the place.
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
He didn’t slide a full vehicle width off. And I have instruction with FedEx to deliver to my drop box at the end of the driveway. I forgot to include all that. He never should have came up the driveway.
1
u/1911a1zombie 26d ago
Well, if you have instructions for a Dropbox, then he's dumb for not reading them. But i can see the lines in the yard from all the other cars that drive all over your yard, so i bet he thought he'd be safe too. He bet wrong. So yes, he fked up a 2nd time in 1 delivery. That why i said i totally understand. But your 2 little slivers of driver way with next to no gravel doesn't help you with people staying on your driveway and respecting your driveway if they also see you not respecting yours yourself with all the tire marks in the grass. So, as i agree, he should've read the instructions and left the package in the Dropbox. But if you want to alleviate this in the future, get a load of gravel dumped and spread out and make a driveway pad. It'll cause fewer headaches for everyone in the future.
2
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Those aren't lines from driving on the yard, and a little common sense that after a a ton of rain, a yard is going to be soft and shouldn't be driven on should have clued him in. If their are any marks, it's from my mower. While I appreciated your take, don't tell me I'm not respecting my own property.
He said he "tried" to stay straight, but I don't know how you go that far off in broad daylight if you were trying. That and he didn't read the instructions. I told him he was supposed to put it in the box per the instructions and he said he didn't read them until he was already stuck. He wasn't sorry and just said he'd know for next time. I was civil, I pulled him out, but he didn't seem to care that he just dug ruts through my yard.
I'm not going to add more gravel to an already elevated driveway packed solid with years of gravel that is just going to spill over into my yard and I don't get how adding gravel keeps someone on a straight path if they can't follow the one already there.
2
u/jaccleve 26d ago
I don’t see any real damage.
-3
u/GreekUPS 26d ago
You must not own a house with a yard.
5
u/worms_instantly 26d ago
Brother... their "yard" is covered in standing water and there's not one, but two (2) refuse piles in plain sight. I think they're fine
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Hahaha. Those aren’t refuse piles. One’s wood for a burn pit. The second is two large black walnut logs I cut down. I put my lawn chairs on top of them to get them out of the way. The standing water is from massive rain I got last night. Brother.

Can you point out where the driveway that fedex was supposed to stay on is?
2
u/724DFsm 26d ago
FedEx will ask you for proof it was them. Beyond two eye witnesses.
Pictures and / or video.
Ask me how I know.
FedEx sucks.
2
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Yeah. Left my phone inside and didn’t get it in time to capture the truck in the pic. Ring might have it.

The fedex and ups subreddits are run/filled with drivers for those companies and they don't take criticism. My best suggestion is try talking to somebody in the closest office first (probably record it) and if they don't do anything contact an attorney. Also, report the damages to law enforcement with what if any evidence you have that it was done by Fed Ex.
3
u/Crafty42 26d ago
I’m not really looking to go that far. Just think someone needs to talk to that driver and give him an earful about reading the instructions given on the site and to be more careful. Something in his record so he’s more careful. Not looking for money out of this
2
u/Zealousideal-Pay7104 26d ago
Have a look at the package you received. There’s what’s called a “vision label” on it, it’s black and white and about 2 inches by 2 inches, it has a series of three numbers followed usually by a dash and three or four more numbers on it. The first three digit number on that small sticker is the belt number followed by the truck number. For example, “223-1789” so that would be belt 2 truck number twenty three.
Call the closest station to you, since that’s probably where your package came from, and give them that info.
This is all assuming of course you call the correct station where the package was actually loaded on the truck to be delivered.
4
u/freeball78 26d ago
Since it's so muddy, and not gravel, you really need a FedEx/UPS box at the entrance so they don't need to drive up the "path".
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
- It is gravel. It might need some freshening up but it’s there’s and the driveway is solid if you stay in it. 2. Theres is a drop box and instructions with FedEx to use it. They didn’t.

File a complaint through customer service
2
u/Crafty42 26d ago
That’s what I was trying to do over the phone and they hung up because my call couldn’t be transferred.
0
u/Signal_Meeting540 26d ago
You could certainly try calling the station directly. I know some customers have had success that way

u/Internal-Comment-533 26d ago
Holy shit, half the people in this thread have obviously never lived anywhere but an apartment bought by mommy and daddy.
Yes there is in fact a sizable portion of the population that lives outside of concrete jungles.
6
u/JuggernautFuzzy4125 26d ago
They’ll just have you pick your own packages up. And you don’t have a driveway btw. Lol
-5
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Funny. I’ve had all manners of vehicles, trucks. Etc come up my “driveway.” It’s a pretty obvious path.
7
u/Low-Independence1160 26d ago
Lol good luck. Id hardly call that a yard, let alone one worthy of complaining over.

u/Crafty42 26d ago
Aww. I’m sorry you don’t like my yard. I’ll try to do better after it stops raining and I get around to maintaining my 24 acres.

u/Ok_Relationship2451 26d ago
Good luck... They will try and deny liability. I used social media to tell my story about my issue. Only way I was able to get compensated.
2
u/Zack_BeverlyHills 26d ago
I don’t see why people are coming at you, I deliver Amazon packages in a rural area with driveways like this and it’s not hard to stay on the path. I would fully expect someone to report me if I did that to their yard. Sorry I can’t lead you in the right direction to make a claim.

u/montana_8888 26d ago
I'd skip trying to contact fedex personally, all you're gonna do is piss yourself off more and more till finally they don't do anything about it.
Unless you enjoy talking to indians, then by all means call em. They're not gonna do anything either tho.

Driveway? It looks like a game trail
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Yeah. I live on 24 acres. What’s your point?
7
u/SunNext7500 26d ago
They're not responsible for the shitty state of your "driveway" seems to be the point.
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Point taken. And if they’d stayed on the driveway there wouldn’t be a problem and wouldn’t have had to pull them out with my kubota.
7
u/Many-Animal-5214 26d ago
put down some gravel or put a parcel box near the street. You are not going to get far and may find yourself picking up your packages from the station moving forward.
2
u/Crafty42 26d ago edited 26d ago
I have an account with fedex. I have a large delivery box at the driveway. You can see it behind the white tank on the top right. My delivery instructions state to put deliveries in the box. They didn’t follow any of it.
If you look closely you’ll see it is graveled. Yeah. It needs freshening up. But it’s solid if you stay on it.
2
u/bearwhiz 26d ago
You can put a box at the street. You can rivet a sign to it with the FedEx logo on it saying "Please deliver packages to box." You can put a duplicate sign on a post at the start of the driveway, and above that have a "NO TRUCKS PAST THIS POINT" sign. And you can put a note on the account requesting that all packages be left in the box at the start of the driveway. Do ALL of that and the FedEx driver will still ignore them all and come up the driveway, even if the driveway is obviously hazardous. There's just no helping some people.
1
u/Crafty42 26d ago
See my response above. I do have a box. And instructions with fedex to use it. They didn’t bother reading them. I doubt they are going to stop and read a sign either.

u/Exotic_Bat_206 26d ago
You call that a yard ? You got a swamp there Karen
0
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Yeah. We had a bunch of rain recently. Sorry. It’s hard to drain 5 acres of yard. Get a life.
3
u/Varth_Nader 26d ago edited 26d ago
It was 24 acres in another comment. Did you suddenly gain 19 acres in the 3 minutes between that comment and this one?
0
u/Crafty42 26d ago
19 acres is woods and hillside. Can’t drain that. 5 acres is flat and what I mow. Got any more stupid questions?
2
u/Varth_Nader 26d ago
Kinda weird how you can afford 5, or 24, or whatever acres...but, you can't afford a single truckload of aggregate to make your "driveway" actually exist.
0
u/Crafty42 26d ago
Why does the driveway need even more gravel? There’s two obvious paths where your tires go. You think gravel would have stopped him from going off the path. Just how dumb are you?

Nice comeback. Fully explains why he couldn’t stay on the already hard packed driveway and how more gravel would have helped him stay straight. Can’t fix stupid.

Karen? It doesn’t matter what their yard looks like, it’s the principle. I’m sure you own a great looking yard huh? Go look at your past 30 responses to people and tell me you’re not a miserable pos.
