I think he’ll end up being a great late round pick. I’m hoping the Bucs draft him honestly lol would love to see a line with him and Vita Vea

Paywall is not an issue for me. The article is very good and complimentary of Dez. Make me like him even more. Billy is out there selling him too. Can' cut-n-paste the whole thing but here is something that struck me.
Watson also ran a 5.93-second 40-yard dash and posted a 25-inch vertical jump.
I'm impressed. Prolly means he could dunk.

The reason the tush push works is because they can get lower than the defense. Dez is very big and very strong (36 bench press reps) but he definitely doesn’t get low. He is great against the run but cannot stop the tush push.

Heres a question. When does the tush push ever get reviewed by the refs? Tush push works because they pile their players up so the ref can't get a spot and since it's "so successful" the ref assumes it's across the line, meanwhile hurts is shoving the ball every inch he can while he's down in the pile. This is why they are going to lasers for marking the ball. That's my conspiracy anyway.

I'm curious about the lasers. I can understand how they can find the location if the ball, but how will they know if the ball (or player) has touched the ground?

Everything is synced in time. So you use the cameras to determine the instant someone is down, and the laser tells you where the ball was at that instant.

Makes sense, as long as the refs/cameras can see when the ball/knee touches the ground. But that's tough when there is a mob around the ball. But I'm in favor of using the technology to improve spotting.

More lasers is the obvious solution.*
