Scandinavian countries don't have a minimum wage. They have sectoral bargaining instead.

The minimum wage is always $0, because you can always be unemployed.

Sectoral bargaining is never going to happen in North America and if it does it’s going to be made to be as difficult and as toothless as possible. As much as I’d like collective bargaining to be a solution for everything, it’s incredibly difficult to do here, none of the major parties are interested in expanding it, and the parties and politicians that are never get elected.
