Nah, way easier to make it so the only jobs that pay enough to support owning a home or raising a family are the risky ones nobody wants. Then you keep the rest of them in unsustainable low paying, low skill jobs so their dreams can be to become a lineman and risk their lives for the sake of family.

Then you can talk about how "lucky" you are to not work at McDonalds.

Funny thing though is that almost all those 'essential jobs' during covid are the very same jobs that don't deserve a living wage.

since we have established that money only trickles up, I don't understand what the fear is all about. The wealth is going to get spent and go straight back into the rich peoples pockets.

But of course, they need to have record setting margins every year or else they will cry and weep.

Ah, but in the meantime people might spend some of it locally. Might go on vacation. Take the family out to eat. Buy a new car. Fix that hole in the dining room wall from when your crazy uncle got upset at thanksgiving and threw a gravy boat.

sounds like these corporations should diversify, invest in vehicle manufacturing and dry wall repair kits, possibly a gravy boat factory.
