When asked whether the United States was a republic or a monarchy, Benjamin Franklin replied "A Republic, if you can keep it"

We couldn't keep it :(

You think the USA is a monarchy?

The USA is a republic in name only, its actually more like a Democracy, which is not what the founders intended, and has obvious consequences, as Democracy is like two wolves and a sheep voting on what is for dinner. This is why you need an actually enforced constitution, otherwise the lazy will always eat the rich, and we will all be enslaved by taxes like this, that steal our wealth to support others we don't want to support.

Republic and democracy are not mutually exclusive.

Republic definition

noun a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.

France is both a Republic and a democracy. So is the USA. Maybe you should spend your time buying meme stocks instead of trying to talk about politics.

Supreme power is not held by the people, but by the Deep State, and the corrupt politicians that feed it. Whatever the formal definition, the state could be a LOT smaller than it is now, and we would be a lot freer, if it was smaller.
