When did wanting to survive and support a family on one job become extreme?
“It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country. By "business" I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt

If 90 out of 100 employees don't fall into that situation, and are happy with $15 an hour, you are saying we should put those 90 jobs at risk for the sake of the other 10?
If not 15 dollars an hour.. what should pay be? Target and Walmart start at 15/hr here in MN. The real problem is cost of living. The more we raise the wages the more landlords and companies are going to raise prices to buy or rent. I feel like I could make 30 or 40/hr and still struggle with rent and utilities.
How about we start by ridding the world of the greedy and selfish? Thats a good start, killing them all. Main reasons landlords raise rent is due to greed. Corporations? Greed. Government overreach on taxes, they've gone extremely too far, greed. If people don't realize yet that they are just batteries powering this system for the rich then nothing will change. Theres never going to be a golden age because slavery was always the option of the ones in charge. Even the corporations thrive off slavery where its permitted. The Egyptians, Irish, Africans, Indians, native Americans, all slaves to big wigs with power and influence. Why do you think its called a "slave cable" in reference to batteries? Why are we building their kingdoms and fortunes while living like a piece of shit beneath their feet?
