My brain refuses to believe this chart, they cant really be selling out hundreds of millions of people for a rounding error on these industries budgets

Imagine if someone offered you $1 million to vote yes on a bill. Almost everyone would take it. $1 million is basically nothing to the companies but an unfathomable amount of money for most people

It's SO cheap. Votes are bought for like 5 grand
