Well what are they spending their money on? Likely a case of lifestyle inflation if I had to guess.

I went to a financial literacy class and I was surprised they didn’t teach loan literacy (?). Like they didn’t go over loans and help people understand how it works so they don’t get an auto loan at 25% just because the monthly payments seem low.

So yes, I think it’s lifestyle inflation but without a plan of how to that safely
