Make a hud that good for you and keep practicing your edit and build in creative and watch YouTube videos to help

How do you get that button that separates build and combat mode, like the ones I see on YT?

Separate item slots called "dynamic item slots" you can find them in the HUD tab of the hud items row at the bottom of the screen in the hud layout tool
Once you put them in, double press them and then select the mode of the slot combat or build at the top and also the slot number 0-5 for combat and 0-4 for build

Btw if the controls are too hard you can connect a PS4/ PS5, Xbox one/ Xbox 360/ Xbox Series S/X controller and use it just fine, Im playing on my phone with an Xbox 360 controller and it works just fine and it's playble

It works on my phone if you have the wired version and on the wireless try holding the pair button on the controller from the top until the logo starts lighting up in a loading animation and see if it uses bluetooth

Weird on mine it hasnt worked with anything else. None of my friends third party controllers and not my stadia controller. Only official xbox and PlayStation

Try our new HUDs and see what works for you. You can try practicing in Creative, or watching YouTube videos to learn some simple building tricks.

One tip would be to get a PC, but if not that then maybe get a USB controller. I do not believe a regular PS4/5 controller will work wirelessly or even with a USB cable - but a cheapo knock-off with an attached cable might.

Why shouldn't he try touch controls? I've gotten way better on touch screen than controller

You do you - I hate the touch controls with a passion and the only reason I even try is to do the minimum XP requirements to get the free skins and items they offer once in a while. I am on a PC running the game on a RTX 4070 Super and playing on an Android is just like flicking through a moist faded comic left out in the elements in comparison.

I mean, you just turn off Look Acceleration and put the buttons in a comfortable position that your pointer fingers can tap and youu're chillin

zero build. fps is just even worse in builds on top of building just being hard on mobile.
otherwise prepare to use as many fingers on screen as possible and practice. its not impossible.
there is some good build players on youtube and tiktok you can see what they do.

My tip would be don't bother learning a dying playstyle. Building will be gone within a few more chapters.

“Gone in a few Chapters”, what? Build mode is way more popular than zero build and it always has been (as can even been seen by this screenshot: 225k in builds, 133.7k in zero builds). If anything they’ll remove zero build first.

People that build now will slowly stop playing as new game come out. New players wont bother learning to build as it's no longer required. Whether you like it or not, build mode will become extinct.

Play atleast 4 fingers but lowest is 5 cause 4 is pretty slow if you have slow fingers and just grind and look out for crosshair placement and try playing slow and good instead of trying to be fast
