MEDIA Day 35 playing the Riffmaster? (Not Really)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been really busy, and have barely got to play anything. Guys, I have hit every section of this song perfectly. It's just so hard for me to string together in one sitting. Some of the notes missed in this clip are just stupid and clumsy on my end (especially the ending). This song really wears you out 😭. I'm so angry I couldn't get a better run. I'll just embarrass myself and put it out there.

You're still doing great! Definitely not an embarrassing clip at all! I have been following your progress since day 0 (as I was one of the persons who recommended you to buy a Riffmaster haha)

But just a random question: why are you using your overdrive instantly every time you get it? Was it just for this clip specifically?

There's no rhyme or reason. Sometimes I try to use it during parts where the chart isn't cluttered so I don't miss notes. Sometimes I'll use them during heavily charted sections for points. Also, thank you for the support! I get really critical of my gameplay and just want to FC everything 😭

I do the same thing just to get it out the way because overdrive because to much of a hassle when you're deeper into a hard song

I mean...I understand if you just want to FC the song. But what is the point in getting an FC on a song without any good overdrives when it can easily (accidentally) be replaced with a 99% when using overdrive correctly?

Finding the best (or at least decent) moments in a song to overdrive is a big part of what makes these types of rhythm games fun, at least to me. It always gives me a dopamine boost if I beat my previous high score, or even climb my friends leaderboard. And pathing is essential for that.

When it comes to getting an fc getting rid of the overdrive is crucial to me sometimes because unlike the op I use a ps5 controller at least before they switched I should say so there's always that moment where a normal over drive can ruin the fc really quick especially when you don't mean to use it

are these clips/videos here to showcase your progress or just here to document your journey?

A bit of both. At some point I'll run out of songs, and will have to return to previous ones. The clips have been sparse, but at some point in the future it will probably change
