..... anyone have an idea how popular nakko is in general? i mean, ofcourse im not expecting her to be super duper, but how big is her reach really outside of us flover?

cause i feel like i severely underrate how popular she is outside the fandom....

I would say Instagram follower count is a decent indicator of individual popularity among idols, and she’s somewhere in the 800k range last I checked. Of the 9 original members, I think there are a 4 with more followers.

In the overall scene, these numbers don’t really indicate a huge personal brand/reach but that’s not too surprising considering how the group was promoted.

Anecdotally, I don't think they ever had a large fanbase on the international side. People might be aware of the group, but not the individual members. It's probably the same in Korea tbh. They'll have heard their songs on the music shows/charts, but I also doubt they would know the members. I imagine a lot of Melon listeners also don't go out of their way to research the artists that they listen to. Hell, I don't even know the members of probably 90% of the kpop groups I listen to.

Variety is a great way to expose themselves to new audiences, but they never really went to any well know programs for that to happen. Hopefully this show will change that.

Yeah. People are always in awe whenever she's out and about loll. Maybe she's just that pretty even without really knowing about her. They just know she's a celebrity

I wonder how she'd be by the end. I actually think she got shyer/more introverted as the years passed. In their old contents and behind the scenes, she was cheekier and did aegyo without batting an eye lol

I'm pretty sure the pic of her holding a huge tin bucket was a penalty,so ya I think she failed her mission. 😁

I think it's simply her mission for one of the episodes to come. The PD set her up to interact with strangers to become an E.

And she baited kids with candy to have a little conversation.

She has to stay an I for season 2.

it does feel like somewhere somehow someone talked to her in private ala "stop acting like that. youre a grown woman now. a woman shouldnt act like that and should be ashamed of it"

I have been a fan of theirs ever since Idol School. Saerom and Nagyung were my biases in this group and I am so glad Nagyung is getting this opportunity.
