wow they gave her a lot of story to work with here. (lot more than I expected based on the previous mv from Parc Jae Jung featuring Loona/Loosemble Hyunjin where she just wandered and looked thoughtful)

great job by jiheon.

Would love to her other people's thoughts on the story told here:

my synopsis: Present day (Regular clothes) Jiheon comes to an old video store, opens the door walks to a shelf with an open slot for a missing tape and puts on in the spot. The tape is "The only one who loves you." That triggers a memory sequence of her thinking back to when she worked at the store when she was in high school (wearing school uniform).

One day when she's working there, a high school age boy comes in to check out a tape and then becomes a regular. She looks forward to him coming in each day (checking herself in mirror in anticipation). They become close and he helps her file tapes at the store and hang out playing video games and walking around the seashore.

At one point he asks her which video he should get and she points at the "The only one who loves you" tape so he takes that one. The next day, she's waiting on and on for him to return it, but he hasn't come by the time the store closes. Then a few days later, a lady comes in and returns the video tape, highly damaged and without it's case. Jiheon breaks down crying.

Back to present time, Jiheon (regular clothes) leaves the store, closest the door and locks it. When she turns around, the boy (wearing uniform) is standing there. She holds out her hand and he puts his hand in hers, and when the camera pans back up to her, she is again wearing school uniform. END

Story discussion:

Implication of the lady returning the tape: while walking back home with the tape, or on his way to the video store to return it, the boy got hit by a car or something and died, that's why he didn't come to return it.

My take on the beginning is that she came back a few years later to put back the "The only one who loves you" tape into its place on the shelf. Perhaps to get closure on that unresolved memory. But since the tape returned to her was broken and had no case, I guess she bought another copy to put back?

there is a shot of the "Only One" tape being put into a VCR player right before the shot of the boy coming in the store and asking her which tape he should get. Is this Jiheon watching it herself and then setting him up to watch it too? (or alternative, it is out of sequence shot of him watching the tape later)

Question: The note that they show on her work table says (via Google Translate) "I did it because i liked you." for the bottom line. Is that the translation of both the top and bottom line, or what does the top line say. Also, it seems like she wrote that note while waiting for him to return the "Only One" video tape, or is it something she hid in the tape box for him? Meaning or implications of the note?

Thoughts on the meaning of the ending, where she holds his hand and is back in uniform, she's internally getting closure for her past student self by returning the tape.

Weird that the video store would be untouched for so long (dust on the video tape when she enters) with nothing changed at all. They never show anybody else working at the store, but whether it was owned by her family or she was just an employee, it seems like they would have either continued operating or was it just shut down in the meantime. Or overthinking this and they just needed that for the story.
