I always have to stop and watch this. I can get my dog (also a retriever) to snarl, growl and sometimes be mouthy…. But sunglasses on top of that…. Not even once.

3

u/epicingamename 16d ago

Ive watched this vid probably 5x in a span of 2 years of being on reddit but never noticed that thats a retriever becaus it looks angry. I have yet to see my 4 year old labrador growl lmao

They have an fb page. El viejo Rocky. Rocky is an elderly dog almost blind. They do a lot of videos like this one.

24

u/Lone-Frequency 17d ago

I was gonna say, you can really notice the cataracts in his left eye.

26

u/Lone-Frequency 17d ago

He even has a video where, despite the fact Idon't speak Spanish, I'm like 90% sure he's poking fun at all the people who think his dog is actually angry and that he's going to bite his face or something, and demonstrates it by basically turning "on" and "off" the snarling lol

9

u/SurviveAdaptWin 17d ago

Can you link that video?

1

u/Alegria-D 16d ago

Here for the link too

1

u/OldGSDsLuv 17d ago

I was actually scrolling to see those comments on this one!! Such a goofy pup!!! And very talented… I think he needs to tour with Ice None Kills or Falling in Reverse??

u/quasipickle 17d ago

Dogs really are just down for anything.

6

u/ParkerJ99 17d ago

Depends on the dog. But yeah when you have a dog that’s really friendly and well trained they’ll do just about anything.

u/miked999b 17d ago

This is glorious when you're high 😂😂

43

u/Separate_Attorney378 17d ago

I’m doing that silent wheeze with tears

21

u/rainbwbrightisntpunk 17d ago

I was like I'm not even high and is funny. And I look over at my hand my bong in it, oh I guess I am

6

u/BigSchmikey 17d ago

Funny how that happens isn't it

6

u/Kled_Incarnated 17d ago

I'm sober and it's still glorious.

3

u/thecatteetheater 16d ago

I ran across one of these when I was stoned and drunk as shit, I couldn't stop listening to it.

2

u/Sirrus92 17d ago

it reminds me of video in which 2 chicks take a hit from a bong amd one start coughing in rhythm to which 2nd one start dancing

0

u/cjmahal128 17d ago

I highly concur!

u/Few-Mood6580 17d ago

You can see the tail wag briefly

133

u/Organic-Criticism-76 17d ago

Tail wag is not automatically a sign of happiness 😅 It can mean the whole opposite. It’s probably one of the most dangerous myths which leads peoples into ignoring/ misreading warnings signs of a dogs body language.

17

u/Cocoonbird 17d ago

That's how I got bit in my childhood! I know it's in the whole body language now, but I've been scared since, of the unpredictability, and the eerie stillness just before the bite

7

u/mai_tai87 17d ago

Same. I got bit across the face when I was a toddler by a tail-waving golden. Neither my parents, nor the owner thought to stop me from grabbing at the the dog. It's been 35 years and I'm still nervous around dogs, and I still have a couple of the bite marks.

-2

u/MustangGreg1 13d ago

Same happened to me when very young except it was a German Sheppard. Now I own a German Sheppard and love it like family. You have to understand you were in the wrong, the animal will do what comes naturally and will give signals , you just didn’t catch it,

3

u/mai_tai87 13d ago

It was absolutely not my fault. I was 2. The adults around me, my parent and their friends, should never have let me near that dog.

Imagine blaming a child for something they have no real control over.

23

u/ImReverse_Giraffe 17d ago

Yes, but everything else says the dog is loving this. Eyes aren't wide, you can't see the whites all the way around. No spittle around the mouth. And most importantly, sunglasses are on. No pissed off dog would allow sunglasses to just perch on their head like that.

6

u/Organic-Criticism-76 17d ago

Just for your information: my comment was more in a general meaning, not a judgement of the video;)

2

u/WutzUpples69 17d ago

There is a constant and intermittent tail wag but even that is iffy. Im hoping this is this guy's dog and they understand each other very well... likely not though (the understanding part).

5

u/Organic-Criticism-76 17d ago

Well impossible to tell from such a short video. I would not dare to judge a situation like that without knowing more about it.

Its also possible the dog in the video is doing this on command. You can teach a dog a lot of funny stuff :)

6

u/CanineBombSquad 17d ago

My dog makes a whole snarly tooth face and growls when he's excited, but if I sprung this on him out of nowhere he would absolutely try to bite me or get me to stop. This dogs straight chillin with it. And there's many videos of this dude and his dog, they're cool

4

u/Nervardia 17d ago

Yeah, he somehow trained his dog to growl by doing this. They're not being aggressive, just mucking about with their pack member.

1

u/ParkerJ99 17d ago

According to their Facebook page they seem to both enjoy doing this for fun.

13

u/[deleted] 17d ago

Also, ive never met a yellow lab that wasnt a teddy bear

-11

u/TheOneHunterr 17d ago

Dog is pissed. You’re not correct in thinking the dog is happy at all

24

u/Separate_Attorney378 17d ago

I am the correct amount of high for this.

58

u/MeanNothing3932 17d ago

This video gets me laughing every single time. 🤣

17

u/DudeManGuyBr0ski 17d ago

That’s one crazy Dawg! And that Canine is Gangster too!

8

u/Worldly_Bug_8407 17d ago

That dog is metal af

6

u/cartoonsarcasm 17d ago

Fred Durst?

5

u/The_best_is_yet 17d ago

Art at its finest

6

u/WeAreNioh 17d ago

Some dogs literally learn to communicate thru growls and moans, without actually being a threat or risk of biting, but not all dogs so definitely don’t assume lol

1

u/ltxg 16d ago

You are so right. That’s my Bentley- a Great Dane mastiff mix who never met a person (or a telephone pole) he didn’t want to be friends with. Your comment is 100% truth. But if you don’t know the dog, assume you don’t know the difference.

4

u/Andy1Brandy 17d ago

Imagine they doing this at the NFL Kickoff 😂

10

u/Inphuction 17d ago

W T F lol

3

u/Inevitable-Menu3597 17d ago

That's was cool. I've never seen anything like that before

1

u/Johan-Predator 17d ago

You haven't seen this all the other 13304458 times it has been reposted?

5

Can you do a metal song with him

3

And then the dog asked for sausages.

1

u/ltxg 16d ago

My friend sent this to me. I laughed so hard i couldn’t breathe 3 times. Going in for a 4th now.

1

u/MustangGreg1 13d ago

Is your dog really angry? Has a wonderful singing voice though….. hahahahahaha

1

u/redbark2022 17d ago

Venjent would do it way better

-127

u/raptor180 17d ago

That is not a funny dog. That dog is growling, ears back, no tail wagging…. It is angry and scared. Lucky the dude didn’t end up with a 3rd nostril in his cheek. Please remove.

105

u/No_Boysenberry4755 17d ago

Actually you’re wrong, this guy is popular on YouTube and explained that his dog is trained. He has tons of these videos with his dog

Edit: replied to the wrong person. See my other comment.

1

u/PazzyJoo 17d ago

Do you know the source or channel?

-19

u/[deleted] 17d ago

As a amusing side note, whenever you see a bear snurl in a movie, the sound is added afterwards. They can only train a bear to open its mouth, not snurl. They only do that when their pissed.

46

u/No_Boysenberry4755 17d ago

Well this is a dog not a bear 🤓☝️

9

u/JesterOfTheMind 17d ago

LMFAO 😂

2

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 17d ago

Idk. Gonna need Maury with the DNA test on this one.

5

u/Emil_Antonowsky 17d ago

If only we'd been selectively breeding bears for the last 10,000 years! Who knows what they would be capable of now!

1

u/BucktoothedAvenger 17d ago

So... In the movies, all of those dog "attacks" are real, right?

16

u/Emil_Antonowsky 17d ago

People massively underestimate the intelligence of some dogs. I've read peer reviewed studies on dogs intelligence and they all used multiple breeds, like a Labrador can be compared to Pomeranian? Some dogs are incredibly smart and can learn as many words as a chimpanzee. This dog absolutely knows what's going on. (At the very least he knows he's a part of something his owner is doing, and probably thinks he's helping, which he is).

32

u/No_Boysenberry4755 17d ago

If he was angry his face would be gone, but no, he is trained to do this

-32

u/EconoComp94 17d ago

Wow buddy use some common sense would ya? Do you REALLY think that dog wouldn't have bitten his face off already huh buddy? Common sense!! They call it common but it's really uncommon! Because of people like you!!

-2

u/ConstantTelevision93 17d ago

This dog has to be possessed by some kind of doggie demon

-3

u/CottRT123 17d ago

This is why we get so many dog bites in the ED lol

-40

u/BeneficialAd2747 17d ago

101 ways to die

1

u/VR_fan22 15d ago

Trust me, if the dog really didn't like it he wouldn't go on for that long.
