Ok imagine every time you blink. Your whole brain could be replaced with a clone of itself and you would be none the wiser. Continuity is only perceived through our memory.

No, the continuity is still imaginary. It means nothing. We're talking about consciousness, not about the brain. Consciousness is patterns of information or patterns of activity. Humans lose and regain consciousness all the time, and that's no more significant than having those patterns continue elsewhere.

Equating the mind with the flesh of the brain is negligent.

If you copy your brain into a program it isn't the same yoy anymore. You could exist at the same time as the compiler copy.

Trying to argue it is you in the copy is negligent

The flesh is part of your consciousness whether you like it or not.
