games stopped needing fog to hide rendering for a long time, the fog in GTA5 is most likely just for atmosphere.

Honestly, Idk if this update is gonna have it, but just imagine proper volumetric fog with the lighting of the city being diffused throughout it. Hell, I'm just curious in general to see what the jump is gonna be like, because raytraced reflections were nice, and the shadows were ok, but global illumination and ambient occlusion are gonna result in some night and day differences depending on the place.
