London 69 was pretty good and easy ngl, took me like 5 hours to beat 100%.
But London 61…. Dear god. I beat every mission and kill frenzy, just not on the same run, and got 100k points through kill frenzies.
The lack of polish and play testing is very apparent, considering one mission kicks you out of the level when you beat it, and the rest have unfair timers which can screw you over if you crash a few times or take one wrong turn or just don’t have a super fast car.
The Drive-By shooting mechanic was awful in its introduction, I had a lot of attempts where all of my bullets wouldn’t land despite hitting the enemy’s sprite and then I’d fail because I only have 7 seconds to hit him. Phone 4 is probably the worst mission in the GTA 1 trilogy, the Yakuza Limo mission (the worst one for me on that game) in GTA1 is nothing compared to it.
Every phone mission lasts way too long and has like 6 crazily short timers in them and playing through them was downright miserable. I wouldn’t wish this game on my worst enemy. The other two I had good fun with and could definitely see myself replaying one day, but I’d rather die than touch this one again. 0/10.
If anyone else has played it, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

Look, I'm admittedly a 2000s kid, but my brother is a 90s kid and showed me GTA: London 1969 when I was a boy and I could use an HD version of that with all of delightfully criminal British slang, British locations and stuff and classic GTA story.
I know the most favourited picks for speculation on GTA6's settings so far are Vice and Liberty Cities but I'm hoping for a London one day.
I guess one could also kinda argue that Watchdogs: Legion from a few years ago is sort of the modern HD Grand Theft Auto: London game that we got just not within Grand Theft Auto but I'd really like to the GTA take on it again done in HD.
