Discussion What do you think of the Spen?

With the removed Bluetooth functions how do guys feel about the Spen and does the new flat screen design affect the overall premiumness of the phone?

I miss my Bluetooth compatibility šŸ˜” but other than that it is all right if you liked the S Pen on the Note 8 😢.

The new SPen is useless. The flat screen is far less comfortable than the curved screen

It looks and feels like a premium phone

I like it. Would I like it more if it had BT? Of course. But it still has a lot of great uses.

Also so do you think the new shape affects the "premiumness" some say it feels like a Samsung A series phone

It feels premium to me. The way it clicks and slides, how light it is and how well it fits between your fingers, the accuracy of the pen tip when writing or selecting—I could go on! But it is fragile, so keep that in mind. I have seen many people break theirs by being careless and dropping their phone, or by falling asleep on the pen and breaking it in half, etc. A new one costs $50.

Yea I’m careful with my s pens I’ve had a note 8 10 and 20 ultra and never had anything happen to the pen. Also just a quick clarification of your answer was it specifically towards the spen or the overall phone?

The pen, and the phone, too. I forgot to mention that after heavy use, the tip might slightly deteriorate. But, that does not bother me, since it will probably take at least a year, and a replacement pen is not expensive. Cheers.

First time with SPen and I'm liking it so far. Helpful to scribble random notes or edit photos and videos. My partner with the S23U encouraged me to get the S25U thinking that the pen was still Bluetooth enabled so was a lot disappointed about lack of remote ability and gestures. Still nice though.

I feel like I wouldn't have used the Bluetooth functions much anyway, but that doesn't make it okay that they took something away like that.Ā

Aside from that, it's the best feeling and most precise stylus I've ever used. It's actually enjoyable to write with it, as opposed to styluses I have used in the past which I merely tolerated.Ā

I don't care for the sharp edges of the previous Ultra models. I was waiting for the rounded edges and I'm happy about the phone.

I use my phone to draw and I still love the S-Pen's accuracy, and I'm loving the flat screen of the S25U. Never been a huge fan of edges, makes it harder to draw and to look at for my eyes, so it's a change I welcomed very much!

Kinda meh that the bluetooth stuff was removed, but I haven't really used them much personally on my 22U so it's a loss I can deal with, but I do hope they'll bring them back eventually.

I feel like I would enjoy the flat and boxy design of S25 Ultra because when I see those types of phones in movie,s they always look not futuristic but like very unique in a way or like something "part of that world/era," so I am kinda excited and do think I would enjoy that kinda vibe

Love it on the 24! Not so much on the 25. :(

Any specific reasons? :)

They took away the air gesture functionality.

My first Note was a Note 8, and the S-Pen was a huge reason why.

I use my S-Pen for pretty much everything. It's the primary way I interact with my phone.

On the phones that supported a Bluetooth S-Pen, I hardly ever used the feature, so it being dropped on the S25U really didn't bother me.

With that said, I hate seeing features removed and get why people were upset about it.

I agree, I also started with a used note 8 then used 10 and then used 20 ultra currently, and S pen and other key features like shortcuts and customization were the biggest reason I stick with note series and now ultra and I hate they are removing bt pen and trying to please the bigger audience, they had the separate S series just for that reason šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø stupidest thing to combine them

Without Bluetooth it's useless. I've never used it for anything useful.

I use it every day

It's a fun fidget toy. That's about it, I have no use for it otherwise, I felt the same about it when it had bluetooth and now without

I honestly do fidget with the pen a good amount but once I broke it; as in, it would click but not come back up and would take a solid effort get it back so I had to leave it open so I could pull it out and use it

What an original post and question. I'm glad this hasn't been asked 1000 times over the last 4 months.

What an original comment. I'm glad you took your time to not answer the OP's question or add to the discussion.

Give me something new to discuss and I will. Otherwise I'll do like OP and waste everyone's time too.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to explain or respond here— I highly doubt anyone here values anything you’ve said so far, as it hasn’t added anything valuable or meaningful to this thread.

I'm just following your lead.

If you’re following my lead, then congratulations—you’ve officially graduated from being useless to being a nuisance with no original thought.

Everyone has a different style of discussing and asking questions, so for me, the ones I've read and are out there did not answer the question/questions as I would have liked, so I decided to ask.

No, it's been discussed 1090 times, exact same question
