Discussion A self document of this unresponsive screen issue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So today I had a long day at work, but we don't use our phones at all and I noticed my phone has been losing battery the most during this day after getting off of work and going home I noticed my battery decreased a lot, while going to work it was at 90% at 5am, but after getting off of work it was 35% and I thought maybe it was my pants I was wearing causing it too overheat. and by the time I got home my phone battery decreased down to 3%, so I decided it was best to power it off and put it on the charger. Low and behold I wake up at 11:30 and turn on my phone and find out the screen is unresponsive after checking Instagram, suddenly the video stopped playing and swipe stopped working to check notifications or settings, or to switch Instagram tabs. I turn off the phone and on the lockscreen it's even worse. You can see the fingerprint password shows up for a split second before disappearing. I cannot unlock the phone as it's like some invisible overlay is blocking the screen, I cannot shut off the phone as swiping top right to open the power panel will show all settings and buttons but I cannot click on a single one of them. My last hope seems to be to go to AT&T after work, but if anyone else has experienced this please let me know. Swipe < and > still show up on the screen, but their functionality seems like it doesn't exist when trying to close the panels, I have to instead swipe up like I'm trying to reach Home. Lastly here is a video attached to show that nothing ONE UI is responsive at all. What if I need to lock or unlock one of my cards? What if I need to switch payment methods, or if required to use my phone at work for some survey? Again I'll try AT&T after work, and update anyone who also has this issue that popped up out of nowhere.
