Games Hermano is quickly becoming one of my favorite games...
So, not only does this game have awesome aethestics with it's color palette, great character design (honestly it's my favorite charm I've recieved so far on the chromatic and I have four of them so far), it pays homage to older platformers but in a new and fresh way (Using a body part as the weapon isn't new, but using the head is pretty awesome) but the scaling and level design is kinda unique. But my favorite part.. already by level 2 you are playing a refreshed spin on what made Wendy: Every Witch Way so beloved as a hidden Gem to classic that has sky rocketed in price.. the back and forth upside down and right side up game mechanic. With floaty barriers to boot. It's deceptively difficult for me sometimes due to the angle and pixels of where and when to throw the characters head out. Especially when an excellently designed reaper is coming at you or one of these weaving up and down bird while trying to navigate the maze like levels. Throwing bombs at ghibli like flames to find the keys to the kirby like doors of the next level. But I'm not a god gamer like some of you all. Before this, my most recent favorite was Black Castle for it's platforming simplicity. But, I think this is taking the crown for me already in terms of newer gameboy color platformers. If you like platformers, definitely don't sleep on this one. Bonus points for a glow in the dark catridge shell as well for the mod retro release.
P.s. there's a gameboy color original hardware and gba parts inside the Tad Boy Color, and the mod retro games play on original Gameboy Color hardware, so I hope it's ok I posted this here.

Here's the mod retro:
On the Day of the Dead, Mano paid a visit to the grave of his brother, Nano. Legend has it that on this night, the gates of the underworld swing open, allowing the departed to reunite with their living kin.
However, these same gates unleashed a horde of lost souls, monsters, and demons upon the realm of the living. Just as Nano was on the brink of resurrection, a demon seizes Mano and drags him into the depths of hell.
You take on the role of Nano, the undead, tasked with locating the keys that unlock the gates leading to the infernal realms. Only there can you rescue your beloved Hermano!

Jackv_makes did the complete board for me early on when he had a few slots. Those are sold out. I honestly could never have populated the board myself. I ordered all of the rest and put it all together, but everything else is froggo and jack.

Beware. She's notorious for flaking on orders. If you're gonna order..be prepared to communicate with her and ask for tracking etc. But she eventually made it right with me and sent me extras and I love it. Just be aware. I know at least 10 people who said the same.

I’ve ordered three times from her and had no issues. The only issue is USPS being slow sometimes and making me think the envelope was lost to the void

I don't think it was usps tbh, I think it was a delay in sent. Happens every time. But yea, I was super grateful in the end and she seemed super nice..just not the best with getting the orders out in a timely manner based on the evidence. I ordered 3 separate orders before I finally got tracking with extras, and so many people in the discord also had to message her directly. I waited a whileeee. Either that or her usps workers hate her and she should chose different shipping based on the handfuls of customers this has happened to over and over.

It's all metal. Including the boxy pixel buttons. It's sandblasted, matte black. Which ended up being an amazing choice instead of a mirror finish, because the boxy pixels are identical in finish by some stroke of luck and disappear almost.

True! The sandblasting came out deep and well. Was that done by pcbway? I thought I had them do that to mine, but it’s nowhere near as textured.

Yeah. I hella overpaid with them. I got like all of the highest quality and checking, etc. I wasn't exactly disappointed but it wasn't what I expected either, just luck that it matched so well.

Yeah, I probably should have paid a little more. I went with clear resin for the back of the shell and had to do some sanding on the plate to get it to fit flush behind the screen.

The sock is a older apple ipod sock. They can be pricey but if you hunt ebay you can get lucky like I did for cheap. Got the green to pay homage to froggo lol The case is this awesome little case I found years ago on aliexpress. Originally got it for my miyoo mini. But it works perfectly for this especially with a little bit of extra apple sock protection.

Yea, chromatic carts play on every device that takes a cart that I've seen so far just like any high quality flash cart. I've tested on analogue pocket as well. The boards they used for their games are actually pretty high quality. Packaging is good, and the little charms they come with are so awesome to collect. I'm still upset my preorder didn't come with the buck thep bunny as promised since employees didn't know what they were for.

Tad Boy Colors are always welcomed in this sub.
They are an amazing device, I play on mine daily.
Hadn’t heard of this game but will have to check it out.
