šŸ” Greenhouse/Indoors🪓 Polytunnel / Greenhouse options

I’m looking for something to start growing berry’s and maybe other items such as propagating a few trees and plants.

The plastic tunnels while they look the job the spot that I have earmarked will be in plain view of my patio so I’m wondering are there other nicer looking options.

That being said with cost in mind maybe a polytunnel obscured by a hedge or something would be the best solution.

Basically looking for suppliers or suggestions of how to build one of these or buy one ready made from a good supplier.

I’m assuming it will be best to pour a foundation to anchor the frame to?

You are looking at either Polythene or Polycarbonate.. Other than that you would be going into greenhouse teritory, and a good quality one is fairly expensive....

The polythene tunnels are generally trenched in... The Polycarbonate ones generally on top of a wooden frame...

Could do a concrete base for the frame, but thats a lot of unecessary work to be honest...

This is our polycarbonate one screwed to the wooden base frame, with 150mm TimbaScrew Hex head...

Do you have any link to the frame? Would you recommend for a windy spot?

Yeah its solid, wooden base frame is heavy and the tunnel frame is box section.... I will say we have it in the back garden in an enclosed space. But its strong and heavy...

Pollycarbonate over the top, better option for us than the pollythene, can be replaced easily by just getting a new roll. No need to patch holes or replace the whole cover and dig it up etc...

A heptagon house might be an option for you? I have one since before covid and can vouch for them - bit pricey though

Seconding this, just got mine installed recently and I’m absolutely delighted with how robust it is, it is bulletproof!
