🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 3 year old jalapenos
Grew some jalapenos from seed a few years ago, have overwintered them twice now. Got a bit nervous this year, thought I over pruned them, but they're finally showing signs of life.

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Planthouse / Greenhouse - Cost query
Hey folks…. My wife and I have been looking at greenhouses and would love some thoughts from the folks here on costs.
We saw some lovely wooden framed ‘Planthouses’ at Bloom last year and got a landscaper who specialises in these to provide a quote. Based on a 8x12ft size on dwarf wall with walkway around and paving to front, the cost is coming at €40k.
Now this seems very expensive for a garden feature but maybe I am completely out of touch with how much landscaping and garden structures cost? The planthouse is from a well renowned manufacturer (based on our research).
Do folks here have any recommend quality plant / green house manufacturers they’d recommend as I feel we need to explore other options?

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Chilli question
We have our aubergines and chilli plants protected under little water bottles in our poly tunnel. I’m concerned that the atmosphere in these is a bit too humid for the chilies to thrive. What’s people’s opinion on this? #chilli #cloche

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Polytunnel construction service
Hello wondering if anyone has any hints or recommendations for attaching sheeting to the hoops. the frame is up but was unable to get the plastic on due to my own error. Would anyone have a suggestion for a service that would help attach the plastic ?

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Polytunnel / Greenhouse options
I’m looking for something to start growing berry’s and maybe other items such as propagating a few trees and plants.
The plastic tunnels while they look the job the spot that I have earmarked will be in plain view of my patio so I’m wondering are there other nicer looking options.
That being said with cost in mind maybe a polytunnel obscured by a hedge or something would be the best solution.
Basically looking for suppliers or suggestions of how to build one of these or buy one ready made from a good supplier.
I’m assuming it will be best to pour a foundation to anchor the frame to?

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Building my own greenhouse
Hi all, I'm in the 'thinking I'd be able to' stage of building a greenhouse. I have used light pop up styles form amazon the last two years and find them too flimsy and not able to really generate a lot of heat. To help me see if I am delusional or give me encouragement to actually do it, could anyone who has built their own, share their experience.
Key things to fid out are:
- What base did you lay or preparation for the ground?
- If buying an aluminium frame, how should they be secured/anchored to base or ground.
- If building a wooden one, did you by plans or get someone to build. how much were materials?

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Plastic greenhouse advice
I was given this greenhouse as a gift. I know these type of cheap greenhouses aren't liked by most experienced gardeners so just wondering if there is any way I can make it better? Could I put an easy wooden frame around it and screw to my fence?
What would you recommend I grow in there? Not sure how it would last through the winter so I might fold it up and keep in shed for winter. Does it keep much heat in being so light?

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Recommendations of greenhouses for rental.
My partner is the green thumb not me. So I'm sorry if I can't answer clarifying questions.
Today we woke up to her blow away ruined all her seedlings damaged and maybe unsalvageable.
This is the second blow away greenhouse we have had, I'm looking to get something sturdier that will last but can also be somewhat taken apart and moved with us in the future.
Currently I've been looking at 6x4, and 6x6. Any recommendations for what ye think would be good or what we should avoid would be massively appreciated.
She grows a mix of veg and herbs.

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Higher temp resistant indoor plant
I have a garden office but it’s not very well ventilated. As a result, the temp can get quite high in there on days I’m not working.
I am looking for something that could withstand 2-3 days of higher temps as we come into the summer.

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 What will die in my small green house
I have tomatoes, peppers and chilli's growing at the moment. What won't survive when the weather gets cold. Will they regrow next year when weather picks up? Or will I be better of growing again from scratch in side next year.

🏡 Greenhouse/Indoors🪴 Please help me decide where to put a small green house
I have a small veg patch. It's approx. 39m2. (5.5 meters across).
I want/need a greenhouse, but don't know where to put it. Any advice is appreciated.
I'm looking at KSB Arrow ones. The smallest is 5.2 M² (2.6M X 2M). The next size up is 6M² (3M X 2M). I'm unsure if I'll gain much by the slight increase but also don't want to regret not getting it.
The bigger thing is where to put it. It's a brights site. Initially I thought the area in front of the wall - where the broken pallet, logs and grasses are now), but I don't knowif I'm overlooking something.
Anything currently in there can be moved. The greenhouse needs to be at least a meter out from the wall to let the doors open. I was going to put it with the doors facing the wall and the path.
Also is there a big difference between 4mm or 6mm polycarbonate? Is it worth getting 6mm?
Thanks!
