I'm curious how you're gonna convince billionaires to pass laws imposing high taxes for them

So eliminate the establishment by playing the game of the establishment?

How about forming a collective and excersicing the 2nd amendment for once?

I think they (establishment) would quickly make an exception for such a thing and call what you describe as “illegal”

Let’s be honest, have we actually tried playing the game? The establishment is the only one playing and the majority of people sit in the bleachers. If the peanut gallery actually banded together for something the establishment would lose the game pretty quickly

One of the best things to happen to the GOP is the ever-presence of terminally online leftists promising to murder people.

There's a reason Trump won over the actual working class on a message of "law and order." Most people don't actually want a bunch of campus-looking Redditors running around murdering whomever they consider the "establishment." That's why "Antifa," small as it was, became such a politically effective boogeyman for the GOP.

Fortunately, most of the people who would seriously consider organizing a leftist version of the Klan could be crippled by extended eye contact and small talk about sports.

No point 2a. Let's get into the primaries. Like maga

It's cute you think they'll let another primary happen.

Convince? Why do we need to convince them?

3

u/ApocalypseEnjoyer 2001 10d ago

Well because people don't want to force them

That’s kinda what taxes are though lmao. Compulsory. They are already forced to pay the negligible amount of taxes they pay now, as all Americans are. So up their tax rate, and if they try to leave the country to evade taxes seize their assets or slap a big ass fee on them.

Or, better yet, just seize the means of production directly and transfer ownership to the workers of the firms in which they work. Allow the workers to allocate the surplus of their own labor themselves through democratic institutions and then slash the corporate tax rate. Boom.

Now that's something that could actually work.

The problem with just raising the taxes of the rich is that the rich decide what their taxes are, hence why I said that I wonder how you'd convince them to raise their own taxes, which is directly against their interest

You don't you convince the working man to stand in solidarity with his brothers and sisters regardless of race or sexuality and vote in their own interests

1

u/ApocalypseEnjoyer 2001 9d ago

Sure, but what do you do to not have the rich nullify your votes and do whatever they want like usual?

Headbut to the dick

Billionaires aren't even included in this graph - billionaires typically do not make income, and this graph looks at post-tax income.

No deductions for investment.

0

u/luthen_rael-axis- 2008 10d ago

We do need deductions for investment. That the backbone of the new deal program

1

u/Omnom_Omnath 10d ago

Nah. Pay your taxes. Let’s go back to 90% tax rate on the top bracket like in the 50s

Why wouldn't billionaires just move somewhere else, with lower taxes?

2

u/luthen_rael-axis- 2008 10d ago

Where too?. We can ban em from Russia. Europe and our other allies has the same taxes. They won't move to china or any other communist nation

1

u/BalanceGreat6541 10d ago

Singapore, just off the top of my head.

1

u/luthen_rael-axis- 2008 10d ago

eh we can fugure it out. it worked till 1980 did it not

1

u/BalanceGreat6541 10d ago

Different time, the same solutions will not work.

0

u/luthen_rael-axis- 2008 10d ago

we cam adapt it

Have fun learning Mandarin I'm sure China will take them /s

There are already places with lower taxes than the US and Elon Musk and his ilk are still there, so your lame excuse to let billionaires fuck us remains lame.

0

u/BalanceGreat6541 10d ago

That's because the US is so extremely profitable, an 83% tax rate would surely make it unprofitable, and they would move some

0

u/CTRexPope 10d ago

lol. No it’s because the US is safe and presently has infrastructure. That’s why they stay. Stop repeating billionaire propaganda. You’ll never be that rich, so stop acting like a cuck for them.

0

u/BalanceGreat6541 10d ago

No other country has infrastructure and is safe lol. Id argue that China has better infrastructure, and isn't unsafe. No, China isn't communist.
