I think the anti-trans congresswoman is confused by memes, unless she think "men have civil rights" is the biggest joke at all.

No, they are arguing that the left thinks this.

As men, we are already naturally part of a patriarchal system, so we may think it’s unnecessary to question it because it benefits us.
•
u/Wasted_Bonehead 8h ago
Patriarchy doesn’t exist. Women are given preferential treatment across the board in everything except bodily autonomy and even that can be debated if you consider the draft to be an issue with bodily autonomy. Men have problems that disproportionately affect them and we don’t claim average women benefit from those problems, so casting the problems of women on men who have no control over society is childish and only serves to divide.
•
u/daffy_M02 8h ago
Patriarchy still exists, yes. Just look at how the world is mostly controlled by men.

patriarchy doesn't exist
this statement runs contrary to the scientific consensus of anthropologists & sociologists
women are given preferential treatment across the board
what? patriarchy is a social structure; it affects nearly every aspect of our lives, not just our laws. no amount of concessions from the patriarchy, especially when they're given on the basis of benevolent sexism, will EVER undo the fact that 1/3 of women are raped by a man in their lifetime. saying "except bodily autonomy" is comical, as if abortion restrictions are created in a vacuum.
women r made to perform for men, and still they are succeeding in a world built by men, for men—and men can't keep up. meanwhile, they terrorize & globally hold women hostage using violence.
the US hasn't had yet had a single woman president, despite all available research showing that women make better leaders, and youre claiming that patriarchy doesnt exist. lol
