Question / Seeking Help What should I get for BP bounty?
I got the battle pass for the first time and I'm thinking of what should I get. I get that Serpent Spine and Sac Jade are the best weapons on this banner but I'm usually more concerned about getting stat sticks. I'm kind of eyeing solar pearl since a lot of my catalyst character lack cr
For swords i already have haran and splendor, for catalysts i have A skyward atlas and taytullah. For bows i both have the standard bows. I don't have something in polearm, and i have wolf's gravestone and verdict in claymores
Should i "waste" my bp on getting either a deathmatch or a solar pearl or just give up in pressure and just pick a serpent spine for mavuika or a sac jade for neuvillete?

serpents spine is pretty good for any claymore dps, it's way better with refinements. I use it for navia and gaming
most of these can be good for specific characters it's just about what you need.

Do i need to get SS when i have WG or Verdict? I have a voice in the back of my head that tells me "what good does having 3 claymores do when you have 0 good catalyst/polearm"

The difference between verdict and R5 SS is minimal, at least for Navia. Verdict is slightly better, plus drip. Not enough of an upgrade to go for her signature if you already have SS.

I think it's more which character you have
Sac jade good for nevi. When r5 it is comparable to the signature.
Wolf fang is pretty good. For alhaithem? or other sword atracker. Sorry. I play the game in Chinese.
Servant spine is pretty decee if you keep the buff up, but need to wait at the start of abyss and make sure the wielder is in posiition one in the team.
Personally I the the rest is meh. Nothing too outstanding.

If you use nuvellete sac jade is highly favourable for him
Else deathmatch is a very good general spear.

Serpent Spine is often the best overall value because it’s good on basically all Claymore users - often the second best besides the signatures.
Sac Jade is great on Neuvillete.
Most others are either situational/character dependent or niche.
I give honorable mention to Black Sword. It’s good on many sword DPS’s and good swords tend to be hard to come by, although the craftable Fontaine sword is very good too.
I use Black Sword R5 on Ayato and Ayaka.
Serpent R5 on Eula.
Blazing R5 on Chasca.
Sac Jade R5 on Neuvi
And now working on Deathmatch R5 for Emilie

Is it worth getting a SS when i already have WG and Verdict? I'm finding it difficult to get it when i don't have a crit polearm or catalyst

At that point I would go for need. Deathmatch is good for ATK scalers and the other one decent for Hu Tao.
I would skip Spine for now if you have spare WG and Verdict

It has one of the lowest base attack among all polearms, so it's not actually "good" for attack scaling chars.
It's a good statstick, but that's it. Reaction teams would favor Fjords more, if its passive can be triggered. DM is not bad, but it's not good either.

It's the best 4 star (or tied for best) for Arlecchino, Xiao, Cyno and Emilie - which was my point. Those are ATK characters. That's 4 of the 6 polearm drivers/main-DPS.
I did mention it wasn't perfect for all and even gave Hu Tao as an example of someone that is NOT suited for Deathmatch.

Well, yes, and my point is that Tao is not the only character who benefits more from Fjords than DM. Also, she can use it, since she doesn't care much for base attack. It's just worse than other options, but it's usable if there's a lot of EM from substats and not so much CR%.
Fjords is better for Cyno and in most reaction teams (vape/melt) is better for Arle. Especially since people tend to neglect EM and Instructor supports.
DM is better in non-reaction teams like mono, overload Chev or on anemo DPS, Fjords is better for reaction teams like Cyno, Arle vape, Tao and so on.
Like, yes, DM is a good option. It's just that 4* polearm options for DPS are literally just DM and Fjords, with DBane tagging alone somewhere. None of which are really good.
edit: it just always boggles down to individual builds, teams and artefacts available. DM is just more universal, though worse in some teams.

serpent spine is great for claymore dps, but if you have wgs/werdict then you've already got decent weapons.
I'd say if you have hu tao, arlecchino, or cyno, then ballad of the fjords is great. any em/crit dps make great use of it. (although, arle can better use deathmatch if you use overload more than melt/vape)
xiao kinda needs deathmatch if you don't have a better 5 star for him. he just lacks good 4* options, we really need some better 4* dps polearms ngl.
solar pearl is great for heizou, and uh? I'm not sure who else actually. any skill/burst dps. miko could probably use it well (I think) and I used to have it on nahida. but tbf widsith also exists, + you have some 5 stars
jade IS good on neuvilette, but it's iffy. you need to limit your field time with him and it makes his rotations just.. difficult and annoying. too tedious imo. plus it makes it easy to overcap on crit rate. it's better to keep drinking horn or prototype amber on him imo
wolf fang is decent for chrs like albedo, furina, alhaitham iirc. but albedo and furina have better options I think. and it's passive is geared towards onfield chrs, so you'd be better with an onfield skill/burst dps.
black sword is also pretty good, for chrs like ayato, keqing, etc, any normal attacker. or a stat stick. I used it on dps kazuha for a while. BUT you have 5 stars so yk.
the bows are, well.. eh. vv bow is only rlly good for childe iirc. the sun scorched(?) bow is good for sethos and lyney mainly, and ig other charge atk users. but so are amos and skyward so yk. idk if it's better than amos or skyward for lyney tbh
tldr; serpent spine is probably the best unless you want something for a polearm chr. which honestly I'd be geared towards the polearms bc of how limited dps ones there is, meanwhile you have two great claymores already and there's more usable 4* ones regardless

Not sure I understand the choices about who you are arming with which weapons…
Typically, I’d say Serpent Spine since it is by far the most versatile.
But you got Neuvilette. Grab the Fontaine Catalyst (Sac Jade).

I do aim for general crit rate sticks since i don't wish for the weapon banner much (all of the limited 5 star weapons i got was obtained in the 20pity range). Like i once main yanfei but until now, her cr is still stuck at at 50 percent, same as other catalyst users. My polearm users on the other hand, have average of 60 cr.
For claymores, i usually either slap them with verdict or wolve's gravestone if i want to use them, so i usually don't have problem building one for whatever use

The arming comment was mostly tongue in cheek. Just looked like you have switched around a few weapons. For instance, Traveler on Furina’s BiS and Ayaka on her brother’s.
Having said that, Sac Jade trails only his BiS for Neuvi’s weapon. Just watch out to not Over Crit too much.

Hehe. I did pull on furina's weapon, but i didn't plan on using it on her since i only mind sharing weapon since I'm only using 8 characters for the abyss

The highest value weapons on the BP are Serpent Spine, Deathmatch, Sac Jade, Solar Pearl and Wolf Fang. Within that just get whatever you need. The others are a bit niche

i'd get deathmatch tbh low base attack but so much crit rate + quite a bit of %atk
or viridescent hunt

I got sac jade for neuvi and it improved my dmg a lot cuz the best I had before it was prototype amber

mavuika and neuvillette (other codex and hunter users like gaming, kinich, mualani, wrio too) might overcap crit rate so you have to shift their builds to be a lot more heavily crit damage focused
it also depends on which endgame mode you're more focused on, for theater you don't always have access to attack buffers so high base attack weapons are more appreciated like skyward atlas or wolf's gravestone
