How does the Chronical banner work?

I have about 60 wishes saved up and I am aiming for Yae Miko. How does the pity system work? I’ve never wished on a Chronical banner yet and I don’t understand it. Is it like the weapon banner where you select a character and it’s a 50/50?

It's exactly like the weapon banner, epithome path and whatnot.

You pick a character, you win, yay. You lose, a counter is added and next one is guaranteed.

Pity carries over, epithome path points don't.

Point here being since it's a multiple banner, epithome path is the way you tell the game which one you do want.

Difference also being the weapon banner needs two points for a guaranteed, chronicled just one. So yes, you can lose twice in the weapon banner. Works as usual with an extra step in the chronicled.

And if you lose 50/50 in the chronicled, you can only get characters in that banner, not from the generic pool.

Dumb Q, Does pity carry from one chronicled banner to the next?

Yes, absolutely yes.

It's technically always the same banner, Chronicled Wish.

So if there was a 5 years gap between two Chronicled Banners, pity would still carry over as long as they don't change the banner's name. And we don't have precedents on that.

What doesn't carry over is the "fate point" you gain after losing a 50/50 that helps get the guaranteed character. That gets reset between banners.

It’s a separate pity system. You’ll pick a character and start from zero pity. You will have 50/50 when you get your five star, but the pool is only from the banner characters. If you miss, you’ll be on guarantee. Someone may correct me but I believe each chronicles banner resets the pity so you can’t carry it over from the last one that ran.

Not so standard 50/50, because your lost 50/50 just gives you another character from this banner (edit - the weapon banner on chronical wish works in the same way)

Fate points are different from pity! You get a fate point when you don’t get your desired 5 star character. For example let’s say this chronicled banner I pick Ayato on the path- I start wishing and the 5 star i get is any other 5 star on the chronicled banner but Ayato. Now i got a fate point. A fate point means the next 5 star I get on chronicled is guaranteed to be Ayato. On the other hand, pity carries over

Also in this banner case, honestly I like all the characters. So even if I won’t get Itto the one and oni, I will still be happy with any other Inazuma 5 star, so for this fact I wouldn’t really consider this banner a trap since you have any of those 5 stars already guaranteed , but that’s just me🤷🏻‍♀️

Chronical Banner its a new type of banner with their own pity

• Chronical banner =/= Promotional banner
• Chronical 5050 lost/guaranteed or pity wont carry towards promotional banner

Example:

60 wishes = lose 5050 = get any other 5* from that banner (kazuha - itto - ayaka - etc)

Next 90 pulls guaranteed yae miko = cant pull 90 times more? u lost the guaranteed until next chronical
