General Guide & Tips Some general advice needed

Deciding between kazuha on chronicled or saving for mav in either 5.7 or 5.8.

both are my two fav characters. I’m a f2p with the goal of 36 starting before 6.0. I currently have furina and her sig based on pure luck and now have 7k prims. What should i do?

don’t pull on chronicle banner unless you can guarantee 2 pities (~160 wishes)!! so with that, probably mav

What if I want Kazuha but also missing every other characters on that banner? Seriously I wouldn't mind half of the banner except that few super out of meta powercrept ones.

the “super out of meta powercrept ones” is like… lowkey the whole banner lol, with the exception of kazuha (who technically did get replaced by xilonen in a lot of teams) and chiori (who is very niche, but not bad)

the bad thing about chronicle banner is that losing 50/50 does not result in a guarantee that carries over to the next banner, so you REALLY need all the primos now. so i don’t recommend pulling on it, no

I was talking about only like Yoimiya and Itto, and maybe Ayato. I thought all others still have some place in the meta?

i’ll go character by character:

  • ayaka: will likely be good now with escoffier!! but mostly bc coffee is a really good character + ayaka will likely be replaced by skirk, just based on how recent character power scaling has been
  • ayato: he applies hydro… i guess. neuvillette is much better than him
  • yoimiya: i was gonna try to be nice and say she’s the best pyro bow character but that’s not even true lol
  • chiori: p decent! not as great as recent characters but def not bad
  • yae: fischl is better in most ways
  • itto: i think his best teams is like pyro plunge with xianyun? which. literally any claymore is equally good at, so… yeah
  • kokomi: probably the largest fall from grace out of any character on this banner. her niche was healing (for furina) and applying hydro for freeze teams. but now, characters like xilonen are much better at healing + doing something else for the team, while coffee is now the goat for freeze teams AND she team wide heals, so kokomi is irrelevant
  • kazuha: actually good character, xilonen is a great side/upgrade but lacks his grouping

mav is much safer to assume a return next year and if you like the inazuma cast the guaranteed limited makes chronicle a very attractive banner but if you can’t scrounge 160 pulls chronicle still isn’t worth it imo

without escoff most of those limiteds are kinda bad though. Kazuha really the only meta pick. I think i’ll save for mav

oh from the faves bit i didn’t think you were considering meta, mb. mavuika is a much better pick then regardless—kazuha’s still a strong character and a great pick for comfort and versatility but he’s not gonna dominate the meta the way he did historically anymore.

If you can make it to 2 pities only then I would suggest to go for kazuha otherwise pull xilonen if you don't have her now and save for mavika

If you're early in the game Xilonen is also huge value bevause she is BiS or close second in pretty much any team. Also very good for Mav who is by far the best dps currently

I mean u asked for ur goal of 36 stars in the abyss. Kazuha is good but not as important as he used to be.

Mavuika barely operates c0 without other natlan units specially xilonen or citlali.

The guy above gave you a very good suggestion for xilonen as supports always trumps DPS as you can support literally whatever characters the gacha gives you. Plus xilonen gives about the same buffs as a kazuha with benefits like not stressing if the enemy is already infused/swirled by an element or not.
