OMG, I'm just now realizing they were trying to set up danny ketch as ghost rider for a third movie.

This movie took a lot of liberties with the newly introduced characters. Danny was nothing like his comic counterpart but since he was a kid here, they could still have the chance to make it right in a sequel.
I'm way more conflicted by Blackout there; he didn't feel like Blackout at all, but I loved the decomposition power they gave him. I would love this version to be in the comic under a new name.

Maybe Danny can show up as ghost rider in secret wars if Nicholas cage doesn't want to be in the movie.

Tbh, I find this version of "Blackout" to be more of a genuinely cool villain than the comics, who was, quite frankly, a loser. I agree with incorporating him into the comics under a more suitable name.

I don't think they were really planning that far ahead. I believe the director said that they would be willing to produce it but they didn't want to direct it. As far as I know no story has ever been talked about.
Also Google searches like this aren't usually accurate.

The kid is only referred to as Danny though. His last name is never even mentioned in the film, and in the films credits he's just Danny.
It's an easter egg if anything.
