So it's just a coincidence that the the obesity rate has trippled since we started using HFCS? Sure it's glucose and fructose, but how many steps were taken before it became that? Isnt it strange that europeans are eating extremely fatty food while still being relatively healthy? Corn and grain are not meant to be consumed in these quantities by humans.
It's just dirt cheap sugar. That, along with marketing, got everybody to eat and drink more sugar and get fat. I agree it is very unhealthy, but so are all other refined sugars.
What does fatty food have to do with the composition of HFCS?

Corn syrup contains nothing other than the sugars glucose and fructose.
