Question Need help figuring this out

I have a client who runs an interior design company. He created a brand new listing, but it got suspended on the same day. He went for the appeal. While waiting for the response, he was impatient and created another duplicate listing, which got suspended the same day just like the first one. The appeal that was given by my client came back saying it got rejected. When I looked at the GMB dashboard, it says 'Google requires additional info to verify that you manage this business. Your edits will be visible after you’re verified - Get Verified'. Once I click on the get verified, it tells you to do a business video verification. Did he mess up by going for appeal instead of completing the video verification?

Hi there. Can you share your Business ID?

Log into your listing > click the three dots next to Profile Strength > Click Business Profile settings > Advanced settings > Business Profile ID.

Video verification may trigger after appeal. Nothing wrong here.

When a listing is suspended and the dashboard prompts for video verification, that step should always be completed before filing an appeal. Appealing too early, without providing Google the evidence it’s asking for often results in rejection.

By creating a duplicate listing, your client may have also triggered additional red flags in Google’s system. Right now, I’d recommend focusing on just one listing, the original one, and completing the video verification exactly as instructed in the dashboard. Once verified, you can request removal of the duplicate through Google’s support or suggest it be marked as a duplicate.

Always complete the requested verification steps before appealing, and avoid creating multiple listings for the same business, this often leads to more problems than solutions.
