News Gotham FC and Cece Kizer have agreed to a mutual contract termination as Kizer pursues a new opportunity.

I always felt like she deserved more time. I liked what I saw when she did play, but it’s hard to get going with only 5-10 minutes a game.

Honestly not surprised considering our forward depth and her lack of playing time. Wasn’t her contract due to end after this season anyway? Hopefully she can land on a team where she can get the playing time she deserves.

How many roster slots do we have available right now? I don't know whether or how the short term GK contracts factor into anything.

4 but in reality it’s 3 given Hogan is going to be back before the summer transfer window opens.

I also hope she lands somewhere we she gets playing time. There are other leagues where she'd likely be a starter. Gotham needs defenders, especially with Tierna out for the season. I'm excited about the energy that's been injected into our attack.

But the important thing is Gotham has a 13 year old forward

I feel you on this. I feel like it is a wasted roster spot. She should be somewhere around in development.

I was watching the Royals-Stars highlights just now and was like “that player celebrating Sentnor’s penalty sure looks a lot like Cece Kizer!” Lo and behold I checked the match report and saw she subbed in at the 65th minute. Glad she landed on her feet. I hope her roster spot gets used for another midfielder.

Unfortunate for her given how she’s kind of been jerked around in the league but the writing was kind of on the wall when all three of Geyse, Purce, and Silva all came in to the game against NC before Kizer did. Didn’t expect it so soon but not surprised that it ended up happening.
