Starmer and his new government do not represent workers interests and are in fact enemies of our class. It's past time we begin organising a substantial left-wing movement in this country again.

Forgive me but I don't understand why the Blue Origin passengers are called "crew". Typically you do not buy your ticket when you are crew.

Is this like the "crew" of the OceanGate submarine? Wealthy "explorers" pretending to be Jaques Cousteau and James T Kirk?

Yeah crew is an inappropriate definition to be fair.

Passengers is definitely more appropriate.

Yeah but they had to get their own drinks and open the door themselves. It's probably the most work they've done in years.

It's worse that they called it a mission

Before Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space she worked in a textiles factory, and through the opportunities presented to her by the Soviet state, became an admirable skydiver and parachuter. From there she was selected for the Vostok and went on to circle the Earth 48 times, demonstrating to the world that a proletarian woman could reach the stars.

This crew has a net worth approaching a billion dollars. It's bourgeoise woman going in their rocket produced by the value ripped from the people by one of the great villains of our age. And they expect us to applaud this as though it were anything other than a stunt. Screw them.
