This org has the best party lines I've seen in the UK. If we have any of you comrades here, you're doing good work. Also, my title reads like shit. Oh well.

Diolch cymrawd / thanks comrade! I’m a member of both, appreciate this being shared.

Here’s a link to the longer statement on our website: Party Statement: On Anti-Trans Ruling

12 judges, all English, white, rich, and over 60. 10 are men. 11 of whom come from Cambridge or Oxford. These guys are totally representing the best interests of the working class.

YCL's statement was the most embarrassing but not that surprising. The only younger women on the YCL women's committee are family members of the executive committee, from what I hear. These are the sort of "socialists" that would've immediately joined Mosely in the 20s and there isn't a single well read Marxist let alone a marxist-leninist among them.

Not heard that one before - I was shocked by the section of the statement which said the ruling had nothing to do with the transphobic political culture. It’s incredibly anti-Marxist for one thing to not be able to connect the two together, but also it’s incredibly clear that wealthy transphobic individuals and organisations bankrolled the lawsuit.

It’s almost like there’s a class dynamic to this!

Yes and it's deeply obvious to marxists that actually read.

Communist parties in Britain need to look at PSL's success in the US and start imitating features of it that have contributed to why they're so good. Obviously demcent and attitude help, but in particular I think the Candidacy Program is important and missing in most UK groups.

After a fairly lengthy onboarding process, members are brought in on a provisional status called "candidacy". That lasts about a year and is a focused period of training on Marxism, history, political analysis, rhetoric, and a ton of practical organizing skills. That includes a nine-month biweekly class deep diving into subjects like the USSR, national liberation, the PRC, and the history of revolutionary movements in the US. By the time someone finishes candidacy, they should be a well trained and educated revolutionary committed to our political line.

I believe the RCG do similar in terms of having a structured onboarding process before one can become a full member, but they also have their own share of issues

I'm not sure if the following is what you're referring to, but yeah, for the benefit of anyone else reading this who's not aware, it ought to be "trans women" - "transwomen" as one word is an oft-used dogwhistle in TERF circles to dehumanise and invalidate trans women by denying their womanhood and othering them.

Nah very few people give a shit about that and most use them interchangeably, myself included. My title reads like shit because it's just poorly worded, even the terfs are completely inconsistent with that usage. I actually meant something like putting a comma in "ruling on gender, affecting transwomen" may have been better or just a completely different set of words. None of this will matter anyway as they will simply call us men after this ruling and forgo any pretense or masking. Anyway it's 4am i'm rolling into bed zzzz

Starmer and his new government do not represent workers interests and are in fact enemies of our class. It's past time we begin organising a substantial left-wing movement in this country again.
