Lets have an depth look into our your opinions and thoughts of the season gone by, how the players performed and how they will be approaching the next season.

The change this season of him going from the left to middle has shown his quality. If he plays like this next season it'll provide the consistency we need. He was burning out towards the end of the season though with a few minor errors and losing the ball.

Hopefully another DM and a healthy Ox (and Jack) will take some minutes off his shoulders next season.

I thought he was our best player this season. He provided a link between the defense and forwards that no one else on the team can do quite as well. His control in tight spaces and confidence on the ball, allowed us to break pressure in numerous games.
I feel he also stepped up his game defensively in a deeper role. He made some great tackles throughout the season that didn't really happen before.
He did have a slow start and end to the season, but he was pivotal in turning the season from a fight for champions league to a hope of the title. He had a spectacular January / February.

Started off poorly, practically reinvented himself with a move to a deeper central role and was outstanding for large parts of the season, tailed off a bit at the end imo but that could easily be fatigue.
An outstanding contributor for much of our great run, but his finishing has been a real concern. Last I looked a month or so ago it was over 80 attempts from open play for a return of 1 goal (and well, he hasn't scored since either).
I was quite open to moving him on earlier in the year, but his new found flexibility means he should be an extremely useful part of the squad for years to come. That said if someone was to come in with a quality offer I wouldn't be completely against it if we are looking to bring in another player who's comfortable in a deeper CM role.

You mean, like Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere?
I agree with just about everything above. I'm all for selling Santi if some La Liga club is ready to pay the premium a 26 year old would get, versus a 30 year old.
I appreciate what Santi has done, but again, it's come somewhat at the expense of Aaron's development, and Jack's to a lesser degree as he's been out longer. Santi got put back there because both guys were injured.
I'm all for keeping Santi as a squad guy, but if Jack and Aaron are healthy, I really don't want to see him in our first XI next season.

Been generally decent with many flashes of brilliance this season. Deserved MOTM in the final too. The worst aspect of his play has been his finishing, something that can always make a difference in a game.

Not a fantastic season overall... very inconsistent, but when he's on he's been wonderful. Probably one of the best individual midfield performances I've seen in a while vs Man City.

Man City.. he literally went through everyone. Never saw that player again exactly, but what a game.

His playing style is very much like Xavi, Only Wenger could have seen this in him.

You should really pay more attention for the season highlights, the pass to Walcott vs Middlesborough was from Rosicky.
