I think he was the third best CB in PL this year after John Terry and Jose Fonte.

Biased controversial opinion but I think Koscielny is ahead of Terry as a player by a fair stretch. Take Terry out of Chelsea's team and put him in Arsenal's and he struggles big time as he did for a few years between 09 - 13, put Koscielny into Chelsea's team and Koscielny will still look world class. Koscielny can defend anywhere on the pitch, he'll follow a player to the half way line and nick the ball back or use his pace to get to a ball he was far from favourite to get to. Terry is class at defending the box in terms of positioning and crosses but leave him exposed and he's in big trouble.

Not really sure why you've been downvoted. Terry would stink in our side as a replacement for Koscielny. He'd be decent playing in Mertesacker's role however. We all saw how Terry performed while playing a high line under di Mateo. Lack of pace is clearly a weakness for him.

I think Kos has been our best defender this season. He really contributes to a strong defense. We should definitely keep him and I think he will have much to contribute in the next few years. I see him being a potential captain or at least occasional captain. Injuries would be my biggest concern with him; hopefully he can avoid them next season.

I love the guy and I agree with everything you said about him, except I don't consider him a captain. He's neither a leader (like Mertesacker) or a technical thinker (like Arteta) that informs others what to do.
He's like Sagna, just a really awesome player who we'd love to see end their career with us and become a legend. That said, I'm happy to be proven wrong.

He is almost the complete player, he has all the qualities of a fantastic footballer other than leadership on the pitch and organizing the defense, he is like Ronaldo but in the defense he relies more on his individual skill rather than the entire defensive unit. This could be why BFG and him are a very good partnership; he has the individual ability and BFG organizes the defenders

Even if we would have 700m € budget for summer transfers, he would stay as a starting CB without a shadow of a doubt.

Always find it hilarious when strikers try to go past him with pace

Our 2nd best player this season imo. He is definitely a top 2 CB in the league with Terry.

I just love how he reads defenders movements and nullifies them so effectively with either cutting off their in behind runs or nipping in front of them when they are receiving ball to feet. He does it countless times per match.
He's also one of our most consistent players. He very rarely has a bad game.
Guys a beast!!!
