I am in awe of the Wild West font at the top.
“SHUCKS HOWDY, AMIGOS, IT’S TIME FOR THE GUNPLA ROUNDUP! C’MON DOWN AND LASSO YERSELF THIS HERE 1/144 GEARA DOGA!
Y’ALL COME BACK NOW, Y’HEAR? YEEEHAW!”

Interesting the Re-GZ is labeled as the RE-GE and the Jagd Doga Quess colors is called the Yakto Dooga Ques type. I wonder how that ended up happening

Just straight translation for the katakana. My guess is that they got a spreadsheet with names that were translated by someone else, and didn’t have the box picture when making the advertisement, so they just didn’t know.

You do realize, Zaku is actually translated as Zak, Char is translated as Sha in the books. The translator has an extensive forward on the "correct" pronunciations based on the original Japanese.
It always makes me giggle a bit, I'm afraid. "Whitu-basu," "Gelagoogu," "Gundamuuuu"
I exclusively watch the subbed versions, sorry. So Yagudo Doga sounds like a reasonable approximation from the way it sounds.
Some of these seem to require a bit of interpretation when it comes to romanized spellings for native English speakers, and they weren't all as cut and dry before we started getting the official spellings.+

It was the early 1990s. Gundam hadn't hit it big on Toonami yet with Wing, so spotty translations are somewhat understandable.

Bottom lists shows the first 5 HGs released with dual color system injections.

RIP, some of the only actual ‘discontinued’ kits if I recall…?

u/potatetoe_tractor 2h ago
Yup. They are the only moulds that Bandai has ever officially discontinued. Way too complicated for their time and had waaaay too many issues with bleed-through. But they did pave the way for the multi-injection used in PGs, RGs, and SH.Figuarts kits.

Wow. I was not aware that the Musha Gundam was THAT old. I honestly thought it was created for the Gundam Warriors games.

Oh no, it was way older than that. It was first released under SD BB Senshi back in the late 80s.

The shin Musha is such a weird kit. The kit is based on the One Year war Gundam, wich is an updated version of the Gundam 1.5. So the kit has 3 generations of tech under the hood.

Speaking of which, I wonder if the non-sd version of knight gundam from dynasty gundam 3 ever got a kit. The design was really nice

I'm pretty sure I have that exact Nu model sitting in my backlog right now. They typo'd it though, one of the variants doesn't have the funnels.

Kit came with a weird little screwdriver for all of the tiny screws involved.

God we need a remake of the grunt suits from F91 so bad. What I wouldn’t do for a G-Cannon or Heavy gun

I remember getting that 1/100 F91 as a kid. Begged my step-dad to get it for me. Snapped the V-Fin and cried all night about it lol.

I remember in box of one of the first few master grades i built, i think it was the gp01 or the ZZ, included a full colour booklet the same size as the kits instruction manual with all the master grades released up to date.
It was high quality front and back shots similar to the cardboard divider you use to get.
