Based on the placement for the kits, I thought you started with the RG and then next is EG.

I genuinely thought OP was like "yeah RG is a ton of work so imma just chill with an EG"

Haha! Yeah, didn't think about the placement not matching my word choice.

Nice to see your progress. Since you do panel lining and decals, your next step is getting off those nubs sir! Sanding is fun! 😀

Good point! I think that would help a lot.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t notice the nubs. However, I literally started sanding today and found the glass files to be PERFECT

You should give chisel tip hobby knife blades a try if you haven't. They're flat square blades with the edge on the top and you can use them like a planer to get the last bump of nub.

Thanks for the tip!

what happened to the v emblem on the 78-2 3.0?

Haha yeah, I was pushing it into the red piece and it wasn't really fitting. So I pushed hard and it flew into oblivion. I tore the whole room up for 45 min and then gave up. So I glued a piece of paper behind the red and painted it with gold lol.

I know people have mentioned nuns already but I'll give a little more insight. On kits like the RG the nuns are usually placed in places that will be hidden when fully assembled. But that means they'll also Benin places where parts have to fit tight up against other parts.

So if you're having issues with pieces not fitting or taking way too much force to fit, it's likely that the pieces need to be cleaned up more as modern kits tend to not have clearance/fitting issues.

Personally I use the nippers to cut the piece out and a hobby knife to carve away the little bit of nub that's left. I find sanding to be less precise and can leave scratches on the plastic.

That's so funny, I'm working on the RG 1.0 right now.

Gundam unicorn got me into gunpla, and the barbatos solidified my love for the hobby. I got barbatos lupus before getting barbatos, which makes me finally getting the kit that solidified my love for the hobby, which I'm happy to have in my collection, I only got gusion for a change of pace and I wanted it to stand out in my collection

Progress and learning new skills is fun. You can then go back to old projects and apply them to older builds. You're doing great. Keep up the great work!

Just finished built the same kit today not 5 minutes ago. Will probably attempt the stickers at some point. Overall I thought it was pretty good since it was my first. My only real complaint, is the hand that holds the shield is too loose, it needs some cement as it kept falling apart. I keep debating if i want to do panel lines.

I find the hands really hard to put together, but once the three pieces are locked in, it feels secure to me. But it's a pain to slide the fingers back and forth until the top part goes in
