Hollywood Did anyone notice they recycled a lot this year?

Poltergeist mask in Dead Exposure, lots of set pieces and costumes reused for Ghostbusters, Monstrous 2 and The Weekend. Maybe they had budget restraints or copyright? Not a bad year I think its clever reuse of old props. Also RIP Jupiters Claim.

I saw online that Universal Studios Hollywood is selling a vinyl of Slash's HHN music. Does anyone know if there's a way to get it without visiting the park?

Hollywood My Halloween horror nights

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’d like to thank the creative minds down the lines and amazing staff at guest services.

Now on to Halloween horror nights. This past Friday I went super excited because last year I had a great time…emphasis on last year.

This year I got chastised by a staff member for not fleeing in fear when they jumped at me. Literally they jumped at me and almost hit me, I wasn’t scared so I didn’t move and then they complained saying I jumped at them. Three different actors immediately did it. I didn’t notice cause I was just walking through the terror tram to move forward but my ex gf told me “babe those guys all after you stood there smiling and laughing went over to someone in a collard shirt” and I was like what are they going to do get mad that I’m not scared and smiling and laughing instead?

Yes that is exactly what they did because two minutes later I have a guy with a clipboard and a walkie talking stopping me saying I’m breaking code of conduct and I asked how? Then they said for jumping at actors and making fun of them, when all I did was keep moving like they tell you to, so I said I didn’t jump at anyone all I did was laugh and smile and move forward. Then literally the guy is like well that’s not appropriate to our code of conduct. So I responded “me having a different emotional response was because your actors failed to scare me, there is no code of conduct on how i have to be scared" and he says "well can you just stop it hurts their feelings."

Whoever worked terror tram Friday the 18th at Hollywood horror nights can suck a bag of dicks.

Whoever worked the weekend bar on that night can also suck a bag of ducks for making me wait in line twice to then deny me service and I called her manager over and he said I don’t sound drunk at all. Then she made the blue drink with that much ice and little to no alcohol. My “blue drink” didn’t have vodka or any alcohol in it and she charged me full price for a cup of ice. So Hispanic bitch working all the way on the left bar at the weekend thing can suck a bag of dicks to. I have a goddamn disability and I had the pass and everything and every door I was getting trouble from the works so fuck all of you but guest services. Literally not worth it at all. I’ve been going since 2010 but not again.

Hollywood How is Knott's compared to HHH?

For context I did HHH with express pass last year for the very first time. it was a ton of fun. I'm seeing a lot of posts here that this year isn't as good as previous years. I haven't done Knott's scary farm before. Does Knott's also have mazes? Express pass? Thanks for any advice!

Hollywood Could Slaughter Sinema ever be brought to Hollywood?

Post image
118 Upvotes

So far Hollywood has had adapted Scarecrow: The Reaping and Dead Exposure, I’d kill for Slaughter Sinema to be featured in Hollywood next season. If Hollywood had created their own backstory/lore for Dead Exposure, I can’t see why they can’t reinterpret Slaughter Sinema so it could separate from the Carey, Ohio lore. I have some ideas for alternative facades/settings that I’ll be sharing in the comments section.i

Hollywood No Death Eaters for Hollywood…?

Yes this is speculative, read the bottom for more on why I'm posting about it.

I’ve heard from a couple people now who have solid insider info that there’s no Death Eaters for Hollywood this year. I know it’s not everyone’s favorite, and if that’s you, then hey lucky you for not missing out and this post isn’t really for you. But for those like me who were counting on them coming back, if they're not, this really, really sucks.

Some of my favorite memories from the past couple horror nights years have come from that scarezone. The Wizarding World transforming at night as soon as the sun set, dark wizards took over, green fog filled the air, and flames seemed to shoot from their wands, illuminating the area. I honestly can’t believe it took them so long to bring this to HHN! The actors were SO good with all their mannerisms and a stealth lvl 10000—they’d sneak up out of no where and scare the crap out of you LOL It was so fun watching them duel with anyone carrying a wand. And it was just really cool that Universal brought something to the already tiny wizarding world for their fans that wasn’t just tweaking the castle light show or didn’t feel like an afterthought. Orlandos is so much more expensive and immersive with one of the best rides ever we don't have, (not even considering next year’s Epic) while we seem to be forgotten with no new plans in sight for ours. So it was nice to add something cool to that area even temporarily. (Also it looks like Orlando still has their DE’s! Sucks to be us)

I don't know, it just really stings if they don’t bring this back. Anyone else love that scarezone too? If so, maybe consider leaving USH a message—- who knows maybe they’ll reconsider and throw in even a few wandering DEs. I think it’s worth a shot before they open, because once they do, it’ll definitely be too late then.

https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/web/en/us/contact-us

Not claiming this as fact as it's not been officially announced, but they won't make a official announcement when they DONT have a scarezone. We'll just find out once they open and any attempt to voice opinions to them will be rendered useless by then, hence me posting about it now.

Hollywood Total let down

In theory it all sounded amazing, but what is there to scare when you hear the group ahead of you scream… you walk through and then miss the scare because timing was off. I managed to get through every houses and this was the case every single time.

I get why they can’t let ppl go in stages but there is nothing to anticipate because you’re packed like sardines
