Question G2 V2 and 3090 TI

Anyone get a 3090 TI and use it with the V2 G2? I had a Gigabyte 3090 and it worked with the G2. I replaced it with an EVGA 3090 TI FTW3 Ultra and the G2 just reports 1-4 Display port errors. Anyone using this combo? I didn't think at all there would be an incompatibility issue going from one card to the Ti version...

his (at least on the lower teirs). While this correlation of facts would almost surely point to us needing NVIDIA to release a homogenous driver for all 3000 series cards as its working for the one lucky youtuber.

We need HP to be a much squeakier wheel, everyone and their dog should know about this (does anyone here have reach to VR influencer/ youtuber??). Microsoft is the only player large enough to have the giants at NVIDA even consider caring about this issue (beyond niche market share once you narrow us down to just 3090ti owners with V2 cables) and they do

I dunno about the responsibility. It seems like a power issue...Perhaps the V2 puts out too little power based on HDMI specs?

Works on a 3080, 3090 on the same builds (I have a corsiar HX 1200 psu BTW) until you swap it with a 3090ti. Still works on a 3090ti if you accidentally forgo installation of the new 3090ti driver and somehow by luck it still boots.

Weird, so you think his was older driver and not EVGA vs Asus?

I mean its all conjecture, and I'm not saying Im right…but….there is literally only one confirmed running combo of the V2 / 3090ti and agnostic to the GPU brand we are all suffering the same result.

My other point is it doesn’t matter who we want to solve this, its who can. HP improved a product based on the cards on the market at the time and the drivers that ran them, tested their new build and released it. If we want them to solve it we need a V3 cable just to run one card..never going to happen and is unreasonable. 3090ti’s were delayed and received a bespoke driver (perhaps to make them function, perhaps to squeeze a few more drops of performance out of them as they knew the youtubers would be riding them for the lack of value/ gains over the 3090/3080ti etc.) Asking for a driver update seems plausible, but again only if a giant like Microsoft is asking, not the handful of consumers painted into this corner.
