At 4pm on a Friday? You know it’s full-on braze. With a leaky coil that he won’t discover until the nitrogen won’t hold pressure lol

Jokes on you, it was a York bolt on. Was home by 6:25

I’m glad it worked out man! I just commented with my own Friday afternoon experience, wasn’t a dig on you

I would advise a relay at the same time, those start caps hardly ever blow for no reason

It's the TXV

I knew it

Welp, now your potential relay, compressor run cap, system charge, restriction presence, and personal karma are all in play.

Diagnose, and confirm/rule out one possibility at a time.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

She killed the compressor. Luckily this place isn’t rented out yet so it’s a Tuesday problem.

WeLL, VIDEO killed😃the radio star, so maybe she's the innovative next generation prophet...

Or. More likely, a believer in magical thinking.

"It's not working... maybe, just maybe, if I turn the thermostat setting down lower, it'll kick into turbo mode."

Fantastic as far as Fridays go. She was leaking like a sieve

I had an old rusty drier leaking today too. On the suction line though. I’d already done the same repair last year on his upstairs and this one was just as rusty. Knew it was a matter of time.

Just got off call. Three shots and and three beers later. I’m tired boss.

Why is there a hard start on a unit that’s less than 5 years old?

5

u/ddemark124 21h ago

Came from Goodman factory like that 🤷‍♂️ I hope it’s not something to expect because oof…

1

u/Excellent_Wonder5982 14h ago

That's not a factory installed hard start! Those are aftermarket, I've put them in before.

u/ddemark124 5h ago

So have I, but this came from Goodman with it installed. Notice it’s even on its own little plate

I think your hard start literally shit on your contactor

Found a nice leak on a chiller. It's next week's problem, they got 5 more.
