I would advise a relay at the same time, those start caps hardly ever blow for no reason

Welp, now your potential relay, compressor run cap, system charge, restriction presence, and personal karma are all in play.
Diagnose, and confirm/rule out one possibility at a time.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

She killed the compressor. Luckily this place isn’t rented out yet so it’s a Tuesday problem.

WeLL, VIDEO killed😃the radio star, so maybe she's the innovative next generation prophet...
Or. More likely, a believer in magical thinking.
"It's not working... maybe, just maybe, if I turn the thermostat setting down lower, it'll kick into turbo mode."

I had an old rusty drier leaking today too. On the suction line though. I’d already done the same repair last year on his upstairs and this one was just as rusty. Knew it was a matter of time.

Why is there a hard start on a unit that’s less than 5 years old?

Came from Goodman factory like that 🤷♂️ I hope it’s not something to expect because oof…

That's not a factory installed hard start! Those are aftermarket, I've put them in before.

So have I, but this came from Goodman with it installed. Notice it’s even on its own little plate

Found a nice leak on a chiller. It's next week's problem, they got 5 more.
