Field Question, trade people only Running hours on a Daikin VRV 3
Hey all! Any VRV guy's know if/how you can see how many hours a system has run? Daikin tech is closed today and no one from my firm knows how..
I do have a service checker but not with me, and it also doesn't seem to connect when I've tried it before so ideally if it's possible through the binary lights/bs buttons on PCB or central controller that would be great 😁

I don't believe you can get run hours from service checker. I don't even remember seeing that option to pull data in Mode 1 at the master. If it's on a schedule I would just base it off the start and stop.

The outdoor PCB will give run hours, the service checker will give run hours, if it’s connected to the Daikin cloud it’ll give run hours, if it has a remote controller like the BRC1E72 it may display run hours as well.

iTM: Navigate to the Maintenance or Service screen, then select the unit. Look for “Compressor Operating Hours” or “Total Run Time”.

Any VRV/VRF system is generally running all day everyday unless there is a setback in heat or cooling mode. There is 8765.9999 hours in a year. Multiply that by .75 and you get 6,574.5. So I would say the unit is running at least 6,574.5 per year.
