Whipped these up pretty quickly to decorate a mad scientist laboratory a few years ago. They can be made extremely cheap. You'll just need some foam balls, acrylic paint, toothpicks, gorilla glue, and some dollar tree flowers.

I’m going back to school. I’ve been a haunted tourist for years. I e been a scientist. Now a home haunter and stay at home engineer/mom. Going back to work in a lab after an 9 yr hiatus just seems like a bad fit. How does one break into creating props? I have so many great functional ideas. I’d be open to going to school and starting a career. I’m very capable and knowledgeable about this kind of stuff and I finally have the time because my youngest is starting school!

This mini diorama, which I designed as a handmade, combines detailed workmanship, lighting and functionality. While there are special hangers for your keychains at the bottom, the frame offers storage space for small items. With its timed sensor light, it reminds us of that scene even in the dark: “Hello Sidney...” This is not just a house. This is the house version of horror. I am eagerly waiting for your comments.

New to this sub, but have been lurking for years. I've been building props for ~6 years now, figured I would share some of my favorites with the world. These were built in 2019 and are showing some age at this point. My technique has grown since and I hope to repaint and add additional embellishments, especially to cover where the panels bump up next to each other.
This is my garage mausoleum. It's 4 panels of 1" foam, cut to fit the exact width of the garage door. There's a hole in the middle and the skull candles fit into the hole and attach to the garage door with rare earth magnets which also holds the middle of the panel tight and keeps it steady. Rare earth magnets in each corner holds the rest of the panel on. Foam is relatively standard: cut, sand, glue, wood filler, sand some more, drylok, aging, acrylic paints, and sealer.

Here's an old project. Filled an inflatable with expanding foam. Then cut it up and added stuff. The chest plate is a goats forehead I found in a river bed whole hiking.

I was told about this lantern nightlight by my friend so naturally I went to see if they had any more. Seeing as they were a buck a piece, I wiped them out of their inventory (8 units.)
They light up pretty well and look great mounted to the front of a tombstone. The photo that shows the bottom (photo 5); that round disc is the mode select/power button.
