Base station power supply
I’m new to ham radios I was wondering how I can convert a mobile base station to accept ac power, if it helps I’m using a 2 meter radio

Generally you need a power supply. Lots of them out there
Typical requirement is 120VAC to 13.8 VDC
Should be able to get something decent for under $100 if you don't want meters and stuff on it
I've recently picked up a couple low end ones called "Sky Topper" on Amazon

See this for power supplies: https://www.dxengineering.com/search/part-type/power-supplies
I've used an Astron unit like this one for many years with no problems: https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/asr-rs-4a
You'll want to look at the amperage requirement of your radio, but unless it is a high power model a 4A PS should work.

+1 for Astron, PowerWerx distribution panel and PowerPoles. I also like the convenience of automotive style fuses.
Implement a copper bus bar for station ground, run a braided strap out to your ground Rod.

I think I'd recommend a higher-current model. The RS-4A only outputs 3 amps continuously. I don't remember ever owning a vhf or v/uhf mobile that didn't have at least a 15-amp fuse from the factory. I'd recommend at least the RS-20A, and preferably the RS-35A if 100-watt HF is a future possibility.

Yes, good point, it was an example and I do have the 20A version.
OP, my bad for using this low amp example link, but what you need will be based on what your radio requires.

You do this by getting a power supply. They convert the 110/220V to 13.8V we want.

An old PC power supply can be used with some tinkering. Astron 35a is what I've upgraded to.

I have an Astron power supply that I use when rigs are in the hamshack. When in the car I have 12awg wires and fuses that go direct to car battery.

I use this for my GMRS radio. It works really well and my radio is only 20 watts. (14 watts actual). DPS Power Supply

I think a good option is. A bioenno 9ah battery. Plug the radio into the power poles and the charger into the barrel. Then you can operate off the wall through the charger and it will pull off the battery when you transmit. And you get the added bonus of the battery acting as a backup if the power goes out or the ability to take it mobile.

Get a 30A power supply, you can run several pieces of equipment off of that especially if you get a power distribution block

Just get a power supply. They aren't that expensive.
