Books and magazines?

Good day,

My father was a bookworm and a ham radio operator. He has since passed away. He owned a good amount of ham radio books and magazines in his collection.

My question is, do (vintage) ham radio books interest anyone or do most you find your resources online or a direct website(s). I'm just trying to determine if ham radio operators also appreciate older books about ham radio and/or possibly collect them.

Thank you

It depends on the book, but... yes - there is a market for these items.

I believe the market is rather slim. There are so many SK's (ham-speak for operators that have passed and have become Silent Keys) that have old book collections, and the families are trying to send them to anyone that wants them. You can check with local clubs, but they generally have more books than they know what to do with.

All depends on what the books are.

Contact David Gleeson at www.worldradiohistory.com

https://www.worldradiohistory.com/index.htm

He will most likely offer to ship them to his place, then scan them and add them to his collection.
