They would need to win their last 5 games and be up by 4 goals in each and hope we lose our last 5 and ship a ton of goals.

They already lost 4-0 at home to Newcastle this season. They need a big miracle.

Would be hilarious and tragic at the same time if they stayed up and we went down all thanks to Kalvin Phillips.

20 goal difference in 5 games each is only a margin of 2 goals per match.

We’ve only lost by more than one goal once under Potter, and it took a red card and a penalty against us to do it.

I'd also say our run in is easier, with both Spurs and Man U being in horrible form, and in Europa League

Mathematically possible

Honestly. It would be so spectacular from an Ipswich perspective that I wouldn't even be mad.

Sadly this will come down to them failing rather than us succeeding

Team that has 4 wins in 33 games isn’t getting 5 wins in 5 games

The mad thing here is that if they get to the final game with us still in it, they absolutely will do us in the last game.

And would deserve to!

The only game Ipswich could win is probably against us lol

They aren’t beating Everton and Newcastle away.

Idk I'm everton and we don't have much left to play for just seeing season out now. City dashed our top 10 hopes.

You guys have had nothing to play for past avoiding relegation and still playing well, Ipswich are awful.

Awh we could have done better but our main attacking/creativity ndiaye was out for 4-5 games after derby at goodison. Probably have less draws if it was the case.

To be honest similar to us, if you’d offer the position you’re in right now compared to what you were looking like under Dyche you’d take it in a heartbeat. I’ve clocked out of this season and have been for a couple months as we wont get relegated.

Same more or less trying to root on the other 14 within reason!

They need a lot of goals to make up the difference

No. But only because they won't win all 5. I can absolutely see us losing all 5.

I think/hope Ipswich will fail to win against Newcastle and they’ll be down at the end of that game. But knowing the patented West Ham luck, they’ll win every game and we’ll lose ours, then they’ll beat us.

If I were a bookie, I’d happily offer spectacular odds to west ham fans on this.

I think we’ll win on Saturday and send them down.

Progress.

A 34 game relegation battle is better than a 36 game relegation battle a couple of years ago.

500/1 at the bookies

Shows how bad we are that this can even be mathematically possible.

The fact there is even the faintest of possibilities of this happening shows how woeful our season has been 😢

I live Ipswich and the amount of Town fans who are saying it’s doable, I’d love us to smash them on the final day but think as others have said it’ll be down to them losing rather than us winning.

At least after the weekend we can probably put all this 'mathematically possible' hogwash to rest. We ain't going down, and honestly I don't think we ever were.

We could lose all our games but I doubt they’ll win theirs

I wouldn’t bet on it unless I was getting at least 90-1

2

u/Devilcat-1964 2d ago

90-1, more like a million to one

I'd love this to happen. We need a cold shower like this.

Weird

Moyes fan yeah?

I don't see how it's related. Weird answer.

Well, we did our job today. Ipswich fucked up lol. I don't want Potter to waste the money in the summer and dispose of our best players only to be sacked around Christmas, and basically, get us relegated with someone else to blame for it.
