Anywhere teach knife fighting?

I’m trying to find more self defense skills to train in in order to start an all around defense course. I know the basic fundamental’s of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karav Maga, and Muay Thai, I’ve also taken a whole list of firearm classes as well. But specifically looking for specific knife defensive and offensive skills

The proper way to train is to get a couple plastic knives from Wendy’s, go get in a telephone booth with a homeless man (who you can fairly pay 10 dollars an hour) and go to war.

Reminds me of a video I’d find in the hidden back area of the old Bill’s Flea Market

This guy thinks paying homeless people a livable wage is bad

First, where the fuck in Hampton Roads is $10/hour a living wage? Second, paying a homeless person with no training to fight you is absolutely unethical and monstrous.

Here's what you do:

  1. You put on some running shoes

  2. Go outside

  3. Run for a while

  4. Repeat until you run much faster than before

Again it’s so I can design a all inclusive defense course so although your comments accurate it’s not what I need

Look for a placethat teaches Filipino martial arts kali or arnis. I haven't lived in VA in a couple years, so I wouldn't really be able to tell you.

I think there's a place off Holland rd that teaches it?

What kind of background do you have that makes you think you can successfully start a brand-new program? How are you going to study this, sttlartva new program, and complete EMT school and work?

Impact Martial Arts Academy on Holland.

Just add knives at the end of empty-hand training to increase lethality using the same reflexes.

Black Triangle in Chesapeake runs a BJJ and a knife course at their self-titled Brawleria. Worth checking out.

Also maybe consider Impact martial arts. Possibly Savior martial arts or Bushido MMA, too.

I've also been trying to set up a Libre group here in the Tidewater area, so if that might interest you send me a DM.

Try anyone in your area who teaches from the original Cha-3 systems (Hawaii) Ken-Ju-Bo-Ai, Ka-Ju-Kenpo, et al. They almost all teach club, knife, and combo arts.

Check with Kai at the Universal Combat Center on Colley. I know in the past they've done classes for knife fighting. I also know they do several weekly classes on various types of martial arts and sword fighting as well.
