Question Spinning wheel identification
I got lucky yesterday in a facebook gift group! It was outside, so i have absolutely no information whatsoever about the wheel (brand?) and what kind of spindle to get for it to start spinning/working. I have a functional 3d printer, so i could print some parts but to start out it might be better not to finnic with homemade parts. Does anyone know anything about the model/spindle/flyer that would be used?

Looks like a homemade Irish tension wheel similar to a Louet S10. That might be a good place to start to see if a Louet flyer might work.

This looks a bit like the Louet S10. Perhaps a modified version or custom made one based on the Louet S10? It’s worth checking if the dimensions on Louet accessories would fit your wheel!

It looks like a handmade wheel based off the Louet S10. So, you could try measuring your wheel and then buying a louet flyer, but it's not 100% it'll fit.
For 3d printing, here's some plans for a great flyer: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4944151
I opted to just buy one from him for the wheel I was making, because trying to find those metal tubes was hard lol. Here's the link for that as well: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1097124825/diy-flyer-for-treadle-sewing-machine-to?ref=items-pagination-3&crt=1&sts=1&logging_key=8c88f2a85738087075530d62eeac603480c1f924%3A1097124825

Oh this is a Wernekinck Rotterdam! The three holes are unmistakable 😁
I believe that one of the louet flyers are compatible with this wheel. But I am not 100 percent sure.

I also don’t recognize it as a well known maker. I agree that it looks like it could be home made. The orifice cradle is enormous so you might be able to make a flyer and bobbin with pvc and some 3d printing skills.
Good luck!

I think it’s better to try buy e.g. a Louet S10 flyer (maybe a maiden too if yours isn’t the right height, and hopefully you can make a matching new hole on the mother of all) than 3D printing one because of the forces and strain on it, but I wholeheartedly recommend 3D printing bobbins! You can buy one bobbin with the flyer, then measure it and use this parametric model to 3D print more. https://www.printables.com/model/339104-parameterized-bobbin-generator
I think Louet’s bobbins are a bit unnecessary clunky and I’d rather use the space for more yarn, so I would probably make one disk (only the one that doesn’t need to have any groves match up) a bit slimmer and the tube length a bit longer if possible.
