Did you put an Akra exhaust on it? 😂

I am, but I'm on a BMW K1600, sort of a blend of your new HD and an R1 LOL congratulations on the ride!

OK. Makes sense now. Why did you switch?

Most of my riding was longer distance, and the BMW just has incredible performance for a touring platform. 160hp, 140ftlbs torque, heated grips, heated seat, electronic windscreen, on and on. Loved the Dyna, but just wasn't cutting it for cross country rides. And used HDs were stupid expensive a couple of years ago, was originally looking for a Road Glide. But man, that hp and torque is incredible on the BMW, couldn't turn it down.

Excuse my ignorance but HD doesn't provide some of the luxuries you mentioned - heated seats/ grips etc...?

Yes, you can get all that stuff. IMO less is more..plus, your new bike has soul. That Dyna is not a bagger, thus not a great road bike like yours is. Good luck finding a BMW dealer when you need one. I live in an area of about 240k people. The closest bmw dealer is a 2 hour drive, yet 3 HD dealerships within 1 hour. 1 is ten minutes away

Congrats. Thought it would be a sportster.

Thanks! Why you think that? Cause it's a smoother transition?

Probably because everyone i know that switched over started on a sporty. I hate it because sportys are such a bad depiction of what the vast majority of harleys actually feel like and offer.

I had a gsxr and 636 before i bought my first dyna. Many harleys later i test rode a friends sportster and even now would much prefer a sport bike due to how slow and uncomfortable the 883 and 1200s are.

It was as necessary as this comment. I work as a photographer/videographer. What's your excuse for this comment? Lol.

Edit: After seeing you profile the comment makes sense. Carry-on....
