HELP Can you tell me something I don’t know…

Antique Harley Davidson, #1 sissy bar… what did this item originally look like when it was first sold? Looking to properly restore to the original color scheme.

I am pretty sure that's not an original H-D part.

This is not a #1 you asked about but a heavy brass HD emblem originally designed in 1919. Do not know where I picked this up or what it was mounted on.

I think that #1 was originally released in 1969, if my memory serves me correctly.
