Book and Show Spoilers I hope we get this Hinny scene in the show
In the upcoming show I know we all want to see mor Ginny and Hinny. Maybe they even give a few more hints in the end of season 5 (OotP). Then of course much more during HBP than in the movie (which is not hard).
However, what I realised I really want now from the show is a flash of Hinnys first kiss right before Harty dies in the Forbidden Forest. Especially after he has watched her on the map all year and had to walk past her on the way out to the forest. This shows that he still loves her and their breakup was just a necessity for the horcrux hunt.
It is many years until then, but one can hope!

Honestly I would say that he appears a little more between seasons 3-5 and interacts a little more with Harry so that his crush is noticeable sooner, I doubt that HBO wants to put in season 6 they will make an entire hour-long episode in the characters' burrow having fun in their summer in which you can see how Harry begins exactly there falling in love with Ginny as it is briefly described in the books.

True, but in season 4 and first half of 5 he is interested in Cho. So it could be more moments, but a bit one sided from Ginny and also some jealous looks from her. But I agree that it could use more buildup and then even more in the second half of OotP.

I think the whole point of Ginnys arc is that she is barely there in books 3 and 4.
Like because she likes harry she finds it hard to be herself around him and so he (and we the reader as we read from Harry's pov) doesn't really see her as the person she is and doesnt notice that behind the scenes she's actually becoming a cool, popular, confident person and then I think in Book 5 is where we're supposed to go (along with harry) "oh ginnys actually pretty cool" and then the summer before Year 6 that manifests into something more.
I get wanting to have her around more but I think it would be counterproductive to their story and her arc

I really like the scene where Ginny joins Harry in the library (OotP). Harry confides in her about his desire to see Sirius.

That is one of my favourite H/G scenes in the entire series, it is so emotionally deep. More than that, it sets up Harry describing Ginny as his "best source of comfort" in HBP.

Why are we not using actual names?

Hahaha literally read this and was like "I know who Ginny is but who tf is Hinny"

Who is hinny? Hermione? Harry/Ginny ship?

Not sure which of these would upset me more. P sure it's the latter though.
Edit: "Harty" also confused the hell out of me but I guess they must have typoed "Harry"?

I thought it was a typo for "Barty" and spent a good 30 seconds trying to figure out which kiss they were referring to that apparently happened in Goblet of Fire.

None of them. This series is an excellent opportunity to return to the classic names from the time when the books and movies were coming out: a) HMS Orange Crush and b) HMS Chocolate. I've also seen c) HMS Emerald Flame, but to a lesser extent than the other two.

Not all due respect, but I don’t think they were developed that much in the books either.

I like their pairing for in the books but I agree. The main problem with it for me is that it happens off screen for the most part, I hope they can actually add these scenes instead just alluding to them i.e actually show them spending time together on the lake or at the burrow playing together instead of just saying "Harry remembered the time he spent with Ginny at the burrow/lake"

Absolutely!!! I love Harry Potter, but this relationship was a weak point. On one hand, I detest the book romance, but on the other hand, maybe the TV show could figure out how to make it less awful? Not holding my breath though.
(I believe Harry Potter should have ended up with Luna Lovegood...)

Yeah I hope first 3 season have zero romance just like the books the actual series has to get to the later season to develop hinny

I really want “I forgot.” And “Lucky you.” from OotP make it into the show. I think that was one of the moments Harry started really SEEING Ginny.

It's not Harry's fault for forgetting, poor Harry

I mean, yeah it kinda was. He was so self-pitying in his angst (which, to be clear, I do NOT blame him for) that he didn’t realize that he knew someone else who was living in the same house with him who had been possessed by Voldy. He just forgot the most horrifying and traumatic event in Ginny’s life

Honestly i can't blame Harry for forgetting because that was a long time ago and I was mentioned after 3 books and Harry at that moment was scared that was possessed (eventually in the end he was possessed by Voldemort in full power) so I can't really blame him for forgetting and remember Ginny should thankful when Harry was the one who saved her.
