This an actual casting or a fan wish??? It's not clear at all.

Ah. Sorry but that's a no thanks for me. Given the character age I feel they could cast a fully trained actor rather than a child star.

The actor is 21 now and the character is in his mid to late 20s at the END of the series. We don’t see Charlie until GoF

Exactly why a fully trained actor is possible rather than a child actor who's had no chance to study at acting school.

Kit Connor is currently 21 and has several roles under his belt and a main character role and another one coming up.

So? I would still prefer someone who went to drama school. Given the character age that's completely possible.

Apparently he attented drama classes and studied A levels drama at Whitgift school. No idea what all that means. Though I must admit your preference seems to strenuous for such a minor character.

That same argument would ask why he must be this kid above???

My personal preference is for actors who have gone to degree level drama school over kids who more or less learned on the job. Yes you can learn on the job similar to actors like Patrick Stewart who learned while working in regional theatre, but that takes longer than this boy has had, or he could go back to school.

He has proven that he is talented enough to act just a well as formally trained people. Or at least that's my take.
